I love to read and hope to inspire that same passion in my students. Each day, my fourth grade students have time to read, develop their language and literacy skills, and talk about their books. Currently, while I have a good number of novels and nonfiction texts in my classroom, I do not have enough bins to help my students effectively navigate through them. Thus, they have a hard time making the best use of our classroom resources. Sturdy bins in child-friendly colors will help create a beautiful and engaging classroom library for years to come. Their quality is excellent and they can be used for fiction chapter books, nonfiction books, and picture books. They also fit perfectly in my existing library nook. These beautiful bins will enable children not only to more easily find books and authors they already love, but also to become excited about new series, authors, and genres. Many of my students are former or current English Language Learners, so access to a wide variety of well-organized books is crucial. Clearly labeled books bins will help the library stay organized and encourage students to develop a sense of responsibility, as well. Two of our class jobs are "Library Organizer." These bins will also enable Reading Workshop to run smoothly from day to day. Thank you so much for helping create an environment where students can both develop and deepen a love of reading as well as share that passion with the whole classroom community! Happy reading!
