  • Getting Ready is the Secret to Success!

    Funded Aug 7, 2024

I cannot thank you enough for your generous donations. Thank you for helping to begin the 2024-2025 school year on a great foot. I know my students and I will feel germ free with these materials, as well as prepared with the expo markers, erasers and glue. My students will also be super excited to have name tag holders that they can wear the first few weeks of school as they get to know their new school environment and new friends!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stankiewicz

  • Device Organization!

Thank you for donating to our project! Our kinders will now be able to stay organized while using their devices, and most important build their independence.

We hope as we continue the school year you will support us with future projects that will allow us to succeed as great learners!”

    With gratitude,

  • Kidney Table Collaboration

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you for donating to our classroom project. K-101 now has two kidney tables that we use throughout our days of learning. Having the kidney tables allows for our students to not only engage in great conversation but it also gives our students a space to come to during small group instruction. When we welcome our students to our tables they are so excited to take part in lessons with us.

We could not have done this without you, and we appreciate it. We hope that you will continue to donate to future classroom projects!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stankiewicz

This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 11 other donors.
  • K Is a Germ Free Zone

    Funded Dec 14, 2021

Being that we faced another covid school year, receiving these supplies to continue to keep the germs out of our class was necessary. While taking part in arts in crafts, parties, or simply just preparing for lunch we needed these supplies in order to continue to allow us to clean our hands, and our table areas.

Also, having the baby wipes allowed our students to grow independently as well. As we taught them how and when baby wipes were needed and the signal to get a baby wipe. With this students were able to access their own cleaning supplies.

We appreciate you, and we thank you for taking part in our project!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stankiewicz

  • Do You Hear That...Sound?

    Funded Apr 3, 2022

Our school year has completed, and we were able to see such great growth from all of our students. Being that for most of the class it was their first time in a classroom setting, it was quickly recognized that we needed new and updated materials in order to give our students the best education.

Receiving these materials and resources not only allowed our students to become such great and strong readers but it also allowed for us to plan and prepare for engaging lessons. The materials and resources also allowed us to differentiate lessons based on students needs.

We greatly appreciate you, and thank you for being part of our project!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stankiewicz

  • Just Right Books for Our Super Readers!

    Funded Feb 10, 2022

Our school year has completed, and we were able to see such great growth from all of our students. K-101 began the school year with little understanding of how to begin to read, and it was quickly recognized that we needed new materials in order to give our students the best education.

Receiving these materials and resources not only allowed our students to become such great and strong readers but it also allowed for us to plan and prepare for engaging lessons. The materials and resources also allowed us to differentiate lessons based on students reading levels.

We greatly appreciate you, and thank you for being part of our project!”

  • Whoop, Whoop We Are Going Into Small Group!

    Funded Sep 7, 2021

Thank you for your generous donations. Our kinders are constantly using the small group resources and are staying engaged in the activities and lessons.

We cannot thank you enough for helping us with the amazing resources. Our kinders are constantly using the small group resources and we are staying engaged in the activities and lessons. Our small group time has developed, and the students enjoy small group time even more now. Our kinders enjoy using the magnetic letters to stretch out and build words. Our legiliner allows students to write on paper that does not have lines, such as writing on construction paper. And finally our dry erase sleeves allows for us to change our interactive games with ease.

Again, we cannot thank you enough for donating to our project. If it wasn't for you, our great supporters and donators, this would not have been possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stankiewicz

  • K-2 Needs YOU, to Support Our Learning!

    Funded Jan 11, 2018

K-2 cannot thank you enough for helping us with the amazing resources. We have been able to add more library books into our library. The library cart keeps us organized and allows us to have even more of a variety of books to choose from! Our literacy center time has grown greatly as well now, and all because of the different games and activities that we received. K-2 enjoys using the sight word talk boards. It is a great tool that we are constantly using to continue to practice different leveled sight words as well as to help us hear the words before writing sentences. We have recently begun to use the phonics magnetic boards, as well as already having used the blending magnet board, the digraph magnet board, and the CVC magnet boards. The fun does not stop there with the donations! We have also used our math center games and activities while in math stations. They allow us to practice solving math word problems using different strategies, as well as recognize, sort, and draw different shapes. While working throughout the day, students are given opportunities to freely choose to use the wobble chair, allowing them to continue to stay focused and engaged during lessons and activities.

When we first explained to K-2 what we had received and why, they were excited! But, once we actually showed them all of the amazing resources they became overjoyed. They wanted to begin to use all materials right away. We have given the students many opportunities to use the donations, and we are continuing to introduce more to them as the year continues. We have connected many of the donations to our units we have been learning about.

We recently began our next reading unit, on non-fiction texts. In doing so we have also begun to write about non-fiction topics which we know a lot of information about during writers workshop. We are going to add more non-fiction texts into our library cart in order to expand our knowledge on non-fiction topics and increase our understanding of topics we want to learn more about. Again, we cannot thank you enough for donating to our project, "K-2 Needs YOU, to Support Our Learning." Our project name should now be changed to, "K-2 Thanks YOU, for Supporting Our Learning." If it wasn't for you, our great supporters and donators, this would not have been possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stankiewicz

K-105 is an ICT class. K-105 students have many gifts and talents, as well as challenges. Though some students may need more support and encouragement, they are all eager and energetic learners. They are constantly working hard and they always strive to do their best. All students, support each other, no matter the type of learner he or she may be. Within K-105, we have ENL students and students with disabilities. No two children are the same, which is why having the necessary resources and materials can further assist our bright and open minded students. Each and every day they come to school with smiles on their faces and are ready to take on the fun day of learning. Because of them, I come to school each day smiling because I know how lucky I am to have such a great bunch of learners!
