Underneath Educating Preschoolers

Your donation to our preschoolers has already made a world of difference! Yesterday, a child had a need for a pair of underwear and socks which enabled her to learn and participate the rest of the day. Another child needed a pair of socks when his got wet on the way to school due to a hole in his boot.
When the students saw what was donated to their school, they were so happy and excited. They are young and do not understand donations but they understand when other people who they don't know, are kind enough to give our preschoolers gifts of love.
The pictures show them enjoying the socks but the underwear is also needed and appreciated by those who will need them. One girl is using her new socks to enjoy dress up time. One boy even commented about how soft his socks were since he had not had a new pair for a long time. Your generosity is appreciated in so many ways! Thanks for giving to our preschoolers!”

This classroom project was brought to life by PNC Grow Up Great® and 4 other donors.

Every day, 364 children come to the Wayne Township Preschool ready to learn and prepare for Kindergarten. However, many of these children are not able to make it through the day without needing a change of underwear. They also need socks to keep their feet warm throughout the winter. We want our children to fully participate including physical activity where socks and dry underwear are essential to their success. My request to you is to provide new underwear and socks for our 3, 4, and 5 year old preschoolers. This will give them a comfortable start to lifelong learning success.
