  • Pants for Preschoolers

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Your generous donations to my project has already had a huge impact on many students' days at our preschool. It is so important to be able to continue their life long learning by being able to have dry clothes on when they need them.

It is a blessing for the teachers in our school to be able to go to the closet and find clean pants and underwear when an accident occurs and our children don't have another set of clothes.

Making our children comfortable so they can continue their day of learning is priceless. Thank you for making these days be great for these children.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stadtmiller

  • Underneath it All: Underwear for our Preschoolers

    Funded Sep 7, 2022

I can't begin to thank you enough for your donations to my project. Everyday we need pants to send home with children who have accidents or ruin their clothes in everyday preschool events.

These donations are crucial for our students to continue learning after accidents. We have about 60% of our students who have special needs and although parents are encouraged to provide extra clothes, frequently it is not enough. Many families cannot get to the laundry facilities quick enough to keep up with their children's clothing needs. This is especially true for our 3 year olds who cannot get to the bathroom quick enough and need changes.

Thank you for choosing my project to donate to and have a safe and healthy holiday season.”

    Mrs. Stadtmiller

  • Making a Difference for Our Preschoolers!

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

Thank you for your donation to help provide pants for our students ages 3, 4 & 5 years old. Many of our students are just 3 years old and many are struggling with special needs which adds to the times they need a change of clothes throughout the school week.

The pants, you helped provide, has been such a blessing to our staff, who want to ensure that their students are comfortable when a mishap occurs during the school day. Some of our students are here all day and it is extremely important to be comfortable and have dry clothes, to continue their learning.

Your kindness allows us to continue teaching, knowing that our students are comfortable and well cared for.”

  • Warm From Head to Toes

    Funded Dec 16, 2021

Thank you for your donation to our project. Our students are so excited to be able to have warm hats and socks to ensure they are comfortable this winter. Many of our students struggle to keep warm and make sure they are ready to be off and on the buses and ready for outdoor play time. I work with students who come from low income families who are struggling to keep warm articles of clothing on their children. Also, many of our children ride buses and end up missing their hat. It's hard for preschoolers to keep track of their hats. This week our temperatures have dipped into the single digits so these socks and hats are very valued.”

  • Packing Our Way to Preschool

    Funded Sep 17, 2021

Thank you for your donation to allow our students to have backpacks. There are many students who come to our school in need of a backpack and many who lose or ruin their backpacks throughout the school year.

These new red backpacks make our 3,4,& 5 year olds feel like a big kid and they are proud to wear these backpacks to their school. Many of our students ride the bus and these backpacks allow them to be able to bring home their papers in a safe, more organized way.

We really appreciate all you have done to help make a difference in many of our students daily lives.”

  • Boxes for Kids

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to this project. We are thrilled to be able to have individual boxes for our 3,4, & 5 year old students to keep their supplies in. These boxes are so important in making sure the children only use their supplies which keeps every child so much more healthy and organized. These boxes help keep all the cold germs, flu and other germs away from each other when they are creating their masterpieces.

Our students think it is very special that they can go and get a box with their name on it and be able to know their learning items are safe and ready to use.”

  • Pants for Preschoolers

    Funded Apr 12, 2021

I truly appreciate your generous donation to fund pants for our preschoolers. Your donation allowed us to purchase needed pants and underwear for our preschoolers. We have over 350 children (we get new students every week, when they are evaluated for special education) and we are having need for pants and underwear every day. The reasons vary from bathroom accidents to spilling paints and other events on the playground. Unfortunately, these pants do not always get returned and so the need is great.

We love that there are special people who support our children so they will grow up to be successful, good citizens of their community.”

  • Hey! My Teacher is Reading a Book about Me!

    Funded Feb 4, 2021

Now that our 3, 4 & 5 year old students are back in person, teachers can read these new books you helped donate to our library. One lesson these books can teach our children, is there are great books to be read with characters, who look like they do and are the same race or the same race as their friends. Another lesson is that we are all different and some of the books show our bodies look different and we may not learn the same way or have the same cultural experiences.

Our preschool students love looking at new books. One child was so excited about seeing someone in the book, who looked like her, that she couldn't wait to have the teacher read the book. Even when she looked at the book herself, she was excited to see the pictures.

Thank you so much for providing these books for our students to feel more connected to books. Hopefully these books will help inspire our students to read all their lives because they feel more connected to the characters in the books.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stadtmiller

  • How Our Garden Grows!

    Funded Jan 14, 2020

The Covid virus has postponed our gardening with our 3,4, & 5 year olds. We are planning more opportunities for these funds this spring. We are excited that our children will be able to start preparing the soil, plant, care for and harvest food for themselves and their families within the next few months.

As the children return to school this coming week, we will resume talking with them about this experience and start getting ready to use the products you donated and start this awesome experience for our children.

It was disappointing that we had to delay this, but we are all excited about this adventure happening soon. I will share pictures soon. Thanks for your patience!”

  • Little Hands-Loving Our Books

    Funded Dec 17, 2020

Thanks to your generosity, our special needs children, had a book to take home for reading time with their parents. These books can start a lifetime of reading and definitely start parents reading to their children. This gave parents and grandparents an opportunity to introduce their children to new worlds. It could be a place they have never been before or an experience like camping.

These books gave the families a reason to sit and spend time with each other. This not only helped our children, but also their siblings. These books gave the families a reason to talk about new subjects and plan for new adventures together as a family.

This was all due to your thoughtfulness!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stadtmiller

Every day, 364 children come to the Wayne Township Preschool ready to learn and prepare for Kindergarten. However, many of these children are not able to make it through the day without needing a change of underwear. They also need socks to keep their feet warm throughout the winter. We want our children to fully participate including physical activity where socks and dry underwear are essential to their success. My request to you is to provide new underwear and socks for our 3, 4, and 5 year old preschoolers. This will give them a comfortable start to lifelong learning success.
