  • Let your Voice be Heard with Qball!

    My main goal as a physical education teacher is to promote lifelong fitness habits among all the students who walk into my gym. I am constantly looking for new, innovative programs to show my students that being physically active is fun, and that there are so many different ways to do it.

    Your generosity has impacted the lives of 440 sweet babies and 1 extremely grateful PE teacher. I couldn't do my job to the level needed without people like you. There is no bigger reward than seeing their smiling faces, their eagerness to come back tomorrow, and the pride they feel when they succeed.

    The QBall has been such a great addition to my physical education program. The students absolutely love using it and listening to how loud their voices sound. This has been a helpful tool for those students who are more soft spoken and wouldn't normally be heard. They now have a voice that everyone can hear! My students ask everyday to use it and I have had to step up my lesson plans to include the QBall.

    The first time I turned the scoreboard on, the students were in awe! It was like a June bug to a light! They immediately began asking a million questions as to what it was and what it did, and it took me back a little that some students had never seen one before. Because of the generosity of amazing people, my sweet babies now know what a scoreboard is, what it does, and how it works! The visual representation of their success has caused my students to work harder to earn those points and see that number change!

    We absolutely love the scoreboard and they way it lights up our gym!”

Foot Darts has opened their eyes, and has shown them just how exciting and fun being active can be.

    We absolutely love Foot Darts and we now have a Bullseye Wall with pictures of 17 students who have already kicked bullseyes! It has been an amazing addition to my program, and words cannot express how thankful I am. Thank you!”

Foot Darts is an opportunity for students to experience a unique type of physical activity, gain focus, improve math literacy and skills, and provide motivation. Foot darts is a game that incorporates the combined features of soccer and darts with a 10 ft. X 10 ft. inflatable dart board and six soccer balls. It is an experience that will improve student's kicking accuracy along with endless opportunities for integration of math concepts in scoring. "When will I use math?" is a question posed by students wondering how it will play a roll in their everyday lives. Students are often shocked when they are told that they use math in physical education classes almost every day. This activity will provide fun opportunities to learn math and use cooperative learning in the process. Darts is a game of skill and strategy that is not commonly played by children, but by changing the method in which the darts are thrown, bring the skill and strategy to a level where children can be successful.
