  • New School Year, Healthy Start!

    Funded Dec 14, 2018

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom! Words cannot express how thankful we are for your generosity. The students were so excited to see the huge box delivered to our room! They enjoyed going through the box and discovering all of the supplies we received.

These supplies came at a just the right time. Various illnesses, such as the flu and strep, have been going around the school, and many of our students (and teachers) have been absent. The Lysol spray and Clorox wipes have allowed us to disinfect the room and kill the existing germs. The tissues and hand sanitizer have allowed the students to decrease the further spreading of germs to their peers. The air purifier filters have helped eliminate allergens, germs, and other contaminants in the classroom that can make it difficult to breathe or cause illnesses.

Since we have been able to reduce the spread of germs, we have been able to keep our students healthier. Hopefully, we have been able to decrease the number of school days they could have potentially missed. By being present, they are able to make the most of their educational opportunities.

Again, thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom project!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Reese

  • Naturally Healthy Start!

    Funded Oct 22, 2018

Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom! We are so thankful for your generosity. The students were so excited to see the boxes delivered to our room! They enjoyed going through them and discovering everything we received.

These supplies have come at just the right time. With the change in weather comes the season of sickness. The diffuser and essential oils have helped to purify and clean the air in the classroom, while protecting against environmental and seasonal threats. The cleaner concentrate, vinegar, and wipes have allowed us to to make nontoxic cleaner to disinfect the room and kill the existing germs. The hand soap has allowed the students to inhibit the further spreading of germs to their peers.

Since we have been able to be proactive and reduce the spread of germs, we have been able to keep our students healthier. Hopefully we have been able to decrease the number of school days they could have potentially missed. By being present, they are able to make the most of their educational opportunities.

Again, thank you so much for supporting our classroom project!”

  • Protect the Chromebooks!

    Funded Oct 18, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom project! We are so grateful for your support! You helped provide much needed shock absorbing cases and keyboard covers for our Chromebooks. These will help protect against potential damage and daily wear and tear.

Our students love using Chromebooks to practice skills because many of them do not have access to technology at home. Those who are performing below grade level are able to access online intervention programs, such as Lexia, Math Facts in a Flash and Accelerated Math, so they can work on skills specific to their individual needs. Students who have mastered the grade level standards use the Chromebooks for acceleration. They can access online programs, such as Moby Max and IXL, that allow them to work at the next level.

The shock absorbing cases are helping to protect our Chromebooks from drops, bumps, and everyday use. The keyboard protector covers are helping to protect against everyday spills, dust, liquids, and other incidents. Now that our Chromebooks are protected, our students are able to enjoy them for many years to come!

Again, thank you so much for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Reese

  • Kindles for Our Class!

    Funded Oct 15, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom project! We are so grateful for your support! The students were so excited when the box of Kindle Fires, cases, and charging station arrived to our room. They couldn't wait to start using them!

The Kindles have had such a positive impact on our students. They are now eager to work their assignments using a tablet. Many students are now able to use technology that they don't have access to at home.

The Kindles have allowed students who are below grade level to use apps for remediation, and students who are meeting grade level expectations are able to use apps for acceleration. The students are more engaged, and they are having fun at the same time since they are able to use Kindles to practice their skills.

Again, thank you so much for your generosity!”

  • Fabulous World of Finances!

    Funded Mar 31, 2018

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom project! We are so grateful for your generosity and support! The students were so excited when the box of materials was delivered to our room.

The books on money and finances were a great addition to our unit on economics. The various reading levels of the books allowed us to differentiate in small groups to meet the needs of all of our students. The Exploring Economy hands-on activities gave the students a chance to better develop their understanding of producers and consumers, the supply chain, and saving and spending.

The item that was the class favorite was The Allowance Game! The students loved playing this because they said it reminded them of Monopoly! They had fun learning how to earn and save money to spend on the items they want.

Again, we are so thankful for your support!”

  • Curious About Life Cycles!

    Funded Feb 26, 2018

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! We are overwhelmed by your generous donations. The kids were so excited to see the huge box of materials delivered to the room.

The students enjoyed reading the vocabulary readers on life cycles in small reading group. The books provided so much information that kept them engaged and interested. The activity kit was a popular item. All of the hands on activities in the learning center gave them practice ordering and describing the life cycles of various animals.

The biggest hit with the students was the life cycle sequencing kit. They loved handling the manipulatives, especially those of the chicken. The life like qualities of the manipulatives really helped them grasp the concept and understand the order of the life cycle of the chicken, frog, and butterfly.

Again, we thank you for your generosity!”
