  • Children with Broken Wings Can Still Fly High...

    Funded Jan 30, 2019

Thank you for your donations. My students have been very excited to utilize all of the new equipment.

I have already seen progress made over the last couple of weeks. One of my students has had a hard time lifting her leg onto the step stool, however, last week- she was able to finally build the strength and courage to do so! It is greatly appreciated that there are generous people helping me make an impact on the lives of these students who have various limitations in function. With that, these materials have helped them gain the independence that they need! Thank you!!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tirone

  • Each Child is Unique & Capable...Butterflies with Broken Wings

    Funded Jan 19, 2018

I want to take the time to sincerely thank you for your donation to my project. As you know, my students are faced with physical limitations, however, when it comes to practice of movement, my students strive to achieve. These materials ordered help us get one step closer to their goal. They are able to work on many gross motor skills that are age appropriate for them.

When my children saw the games, puzzles, trampoline, their eyes lit up. They were very excited to start physical therapy and eager to try everything out. Thanks again for your generosity and support. One student walked on the stepping stones with the biggest smile I have ever seen, because he was being challenged, and he loved it!

With your contribution, we'll be able to jump better, increase muscle strength and flexibility, run, balance on unsteady surfaces and improve motor planning. Your generosity and support is an encouraging reminder of why I started this project. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tirone

These materials will help them walk and gain independence. They will have the resources to work on their balance, so that they stop tripping & falling. These materials will help them get stronger, so that they can carry their own book bags and belongings. These materials will help them gain strength to climb stairs, play in the playground, keep up with their peers and be able to tolerate positions without slouching forward. They will be able to gain strength to open their own lunch containers, endurance to wait online, and the strength to stand up without leaning on furniture to push off of.
