  • "We Are Only as Good as Our Tools"

    Funded Apr 2, 2024

Every year I organize a public art exhibit for my advanced art students. You have provided updated technology that will be used to design the invitations and other advertisements, which will inform the public of our upcoming art show and ensure a wonderful turnout.

I have installed software for my students; they will be trained on how to design their theme for the art show into professional layouts that will be printed and mailed out.

This equipment is used each day in class by my art students. I have combined other donated items with the computer, now our classroom is a technology hub. The All-In-One computer is key in getting my students use to working with equipment used in a lot of office settings.

You have made a massive difference in how this technology update has changed the work ethic of my classroom! My students love the added equipment and are excited about the new improvements! Searching the internet to find sources and techniques that improve their art talent is key in building and guiding their future. My student's artistic goals are now attainable using state-of-the-art technologies. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dressler

  • Shoo The Flu So We Can Stay In School

    Funded Feb 15, 2025

It is important to have a germ-free environment during the flu season. Thank you for making that happen! My students are so concerned and willing to help keep our art studio clean and safe. These supplies will ensure we all stay healthy. We can't thank you enough for the care you share!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dressler

  • Updating Obsolete Technology

    Funded Dec 2, 2024

Thank you for believing in teachers that go above and beyond to help their students learn. With your help, my students' classroom projects will look more polished. We just can't do the things in public schools as seen in private institutions due to funding. I apricate you responding to our needs, and just so

you know, this equipment will be used for many years to come!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dressler

  • Bridging Students Into Careers

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

My students are going to be so excited when I tell them this project has been funded! This is a dream come true for my technology skilled students. Being able to teach a curriculum that offers students a path for success is so satisfying. I have always felt teachers should pave they way for success by bridging their students into the real-world with strong skills and a good work ethic. Love your job, love your life!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dressler

  • Giving Kids New Ways to Read With Art

    Funded Feb 8, 2022

During these uncharted times, students are being affected by the COVID-19. Students need the most engaging visual tools to help them stay focused so they actually learn how to complete a task and have pride in what they achieve.

The LCD Projector will be a tool used in the classroom to help instruct my students on procedures within the interface software. The software "Storyboard That" is embedded into their Chromebook and compatible with CANVAS and TV (used in class) are an extension of quality education.

My students have gotten use to the new methods of learning, and by further offering visual technology, they seem comfortable and prefer it over the old-school power-point lecture or workbook.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dressler

  • Getting Back on Track

    Funded Aug 15, 2023

Using technology in the classroom is the norm for the younger generation. My students have extended knowledge of the electronic tools we were granted in this last donation. I take these familiar technology tools, and teach them to virtually travel to environments that are rich with artistic culture. With the new Meta they can now walk into an ancient cathedral and enjoy interior artworks, such as frescos, or view exterior architecture: flying-buttresses, and the compositions of the colorful gardens.

The most exciting things my students love about this learning method, is that it offers a real adventure! It's like actually being there!

I know my students have become accustomed to this type of electronic tool beyond the walls of school, but with educational software and guidance; they express new desires to one day explore these virtual visions in future travels.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dressler

  • Teaching Forensics 101

    Funded Sep 24, 2018

My students are enjoying the oil-based sculpture clay. We began the forensic facial reconstruction skull last week. I am teaching this discipline as a possible career path. My students are learning math and science in their art class!

The first day the students walked in and saw the skulls and clay, their eyes were as big as baseballs! They had never been exposed to a career in crime solving and were ready to get started! Already we have measured and placed the landmarks 1-21 on the skulls. They have learned how to gage the calipers in millimeters (Metric-System) and scientifically cut and place the clay onto the skulls.

In this current project, my students will also learn the formula for facial feature placement; a skill used in the sketches by law-enforcement artists. Forensics is a discipline with many options in law enforcement, the courts, as well as anthropology. My hope is that this curriculum will benefit and empower my student's career choices in their lives.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dressler

We need modeling clay to help them learn the science of forensics. We have the skulls, just need the clay. The education of forensics empowers the artistic student in a future of helping families resolve loss as well as developing their artistic skills. Learning forensic art combines their art experience with science and math as the students develop facial and skeletal construction knowledge. Not only will the students be exposed to a highly respectable career, but the students will also go on field trips to forensic labs and meet people in this field of work. There is a college in Edmond, Oklahoma that works side by side with the Oklahoma State Bureau of investigation the forensic artists in law enforcement. This is a great opportunity where my students can learn to network with future potential employers.
