The math classes I teach follow a blended learning model. Students complete the 7th grade standards at an individual pace, and get instruction from a combination of teacher made videos, small-group instruction, and whole group lessons. There is also a digital component in the daily routine where students receive instruction that is personalized to each individual students' current instructional level. Students working on digital assignments often times don't have anywhere to work out math problems, dry erase tables eliminate this problem. In addition, dry erase tables provide me with an opportunity for additional one on one instruction with students at their desks. Dry erase tables would transform my 7th grade math classroom from a traditional learning environment to an engaging 21st century learning space.
