These materials will help to make a huge difference in my school by allowing students access to high quality children's literature. The books I selected range in complexity, and provide students with a multitude of genres. Students will be able to go to our library or book room, and spend time reading these novels. The goal is for students to be inspired by reading, and become lifelong readers themselves. As of right now, our students do not have access to any literature, nor do they have a safe and quiet place to read and relax. We need to give them access to high quality literature to not only improve their reading fluency and comprehension, but to also help promote the skill of being lifelong readers.
