  • Rain, Rain, Go Away! Help Us Get Indoor Recess Games

    Funded Mar 26, 2025

Thank you so much for the games for our students. They are going to have a great time getting to play some of our old favorites. They also will learn when playing all the BINGO games! Thank you for all you do and for your generosity. We appreciate the support in the classroom.”

  • Math, It's All Fun and Games-until Someone Divides by Zero!

    Funded Sep 19, 2024

I can not thank you enough for your generous donation. The math game has made a significant impact in our classroom. While students are playing games they are devloping strategic thinking while improving their fluency. Students are engaged while creating a postive learning environment by learning from their peers.

The one game they love to play is Shut the Box. The object of the game is to close the all the numbers from 1-10 by rolling the dice. This game devlops strategic thinking. If a student rolls a 10, they have to decide what's the best choice. They can choose to close a the number 10 or a combination of numbers to make 10.

The math games gives all students a deeper conection to understanding core math concepts. Thank you again for all of your support!”

  • We Can Create New Lessons!

    Funded Jun 12, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my project. The printer has come in so handy! We've been able to assist students in developing homework that is geared to them. We have diverse learners that are reading at many different levels. We need to modify the work and homework to best fit their needs. The copier allows us to quickly make any adjustments to their work without having to run around to find someone to make a quick copy.

Your generous donations helps all of our students. We couldn't do it without your help!”

    Mrs. Goodman

  • Write and Wipe

    Funded Mar 13, 2018

I am deeply appreciative of your support to our classroom. Your generous donations have greatly impacted our classroom. Supplies to our classrooms are limited and funding is not what it use to be! In September, most classrooms have all shiny new supplies. New pointy pencils, markers that still have that new smell, and dry erase markers that write!

By January, our supplies are almost all dried up! The new dry erase markers and erasers saved the day! We use dry erase markers on a daily basis in our math class. Our diverse learners use the markers and dry erase boards to work out math problems. They can easily erase their mistakes and try again!

Thank you so much for your support! We couldn't be teachers without you!”

  • Engineering Special Needs Students to Be Creative

    Funded Dec 30, 2017

I can not express the gratitude for supporting our students. I'm so excited about this project. The 3D Doodler is an innovative tool that allows my students to be creative. I believe that exposing students to new technology will help them keep up to date with current trends. This will allow my diverse learners to approach thinking and problem solving in new ways. By donating you're not just supporting my class, but your helping mold them into future creators, leaders, and innovators. Thank you again for your generous donation!”

  • Learning Is Not Just For Students!

    Funded Nov 21, 2017

I can't thank you enough for donating to send me to a conference titled, Fundations. The class was very enlightening. The class focused on a comprehensive program that incorporates the whole class to learn phonics in a different way. The program highlighted how the program is so effective when utilized in the classroom 5 days a week, starting in kindergarten. The program showcases how, when phonics is started in kindergarten and progresses with the student, it will help students in not just phonics, but writing also. Fundations encompasses essential learning components that will help all students grow as readers. If students need additional assistance, the program offers a component that helps students in tier 2, (students on the bubble of needing additional help).

Thank you again for your generous donations to further my education to help my students become better readers!”

  • Give a High Five to Math Games

    Funded Sep 13, 2016

Thank you very much for your generous donations to my project. The impact you have made is astonishing. I teach in a high-poverty area to diverse learners. Many of my students are kinesthetic learners or tactile learners. They learn best by carrying out physical activities, rather than listening to a lecture. The games that you provided reach all of my students.

The students response to the games can be described in one word "Fun!". They loved playing the games. When I ask the students to put the games away, they yelled, " Nooo"! Some of the students became competitive and were cheering every time they got the answer correct. What the students also enjoyed was the idea of correcting each other.

The easy step-by-step instructions on each kit made it easy for all students to follow and play. I really liked the fact that the kits are aligned to the Common Core.

Thank you so much again for your generosity. I hope the new year brings you as much joy as you have created in my classroom.”

  • Let's Get the Maximum Out of Our Kids!

    Funded Dec 15, 2015

Thank you so much for your donations for MobyMax. MobyMax is an online program in which I use to determine where the student is at in reading and math.

MobyMax is for all students. Moby's adaptive curriculum creates a unique, individualized education plan for each student, allowing gifted students to progress as quickly as they like while simultaneously ensuring that remedial students get the extra instruction they need.

I work with special education 4th and 5th grade students. MobyMax determines what level they are reading at and then levels them from there. The program allows the student to build on what they know.

For math, the program assesses them and again builds on their knowledge. MobyMax allows you to monitor student progress in real time, so that you know exactly how each student is doing.

Thank you so much again for your generous donations! We appreciate all that you do!”

  • Razzle Dazzle Students

    Funded Dec 2, 2015

Thank you very much for your donation for my classroom to be invested in the online program of Headsprout. The program uses effective, interactive online episodes to teach K-5 students the reading fundamentals and comprehension skills they need to become successful readers.

The online instruction automatically adapts to the specific learning needs of every student. It teaches non-readers and early readers critical reading fundamentals, including phonemic awareness, phonics, and fluency.

It teaches older readers the four main components of comprehensions: finding facts, making inferences, identifying themes, and learning vocabulary in context.

I teach special education fourth and fifth graders. I have five different groups of students and their reading levels range from kindergarten-third grade. While I read with a small group of students, the other students are working on Headsprout. They like the program because it is interactive and it finds their reading levels. When students can read at their levels, they become more confident as readers.

Thank you again for giving my students the confidence and the love for reading.”

  • Consumers Know Best!

    Funded Apr 6, 2015

I can't thank you enough for supporting this project. This project is unique that it's a subscription for a classroom of students to be able to use a program called, ThinkCerca. ThinkCerca is a unique program that offers teachers the ability to have students read a specific article that pertains to a certain topic. The topic might explore the outer space or the micro-organisms that are living in your bed. The teacher assigns an article to be read and questions that pertain to the article would follow. It's a great resource to assign students nonfiction articles to read and then be able to see how much they comprehended.

This project boosted my students' learning by providing for them current articles that are happening in today's world. Too often the science curriculum is outdated because of the lack of funding in schools. This program provides interesting topics. Our current science curriculum still names Pluto as a planet. Students love the imagery of the photographs that accompany the articles. Many of my students are visual learners and the images capture their interests.

We are going to use this program as nonfiction reading assignments. Students need to be able to read and understand nonfiction text for use later in life and also to prepare them for standardized tests. The program will be used in the classroom and assign as homework.

I want to thank you again for your continual generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Goodman
