Printer Ink to Meet Students Needs
Funded May 11, 2023Thank you so much for the resource that you have supplied our classroom with. Classrooms do not have a printer supplied to them. I have been lucky enough to have had a Donors Choose project fulfilled in the past that provided me with the Brother printer. Having the opportunity to print as needed in the classroom is a benefit that not every classroom has. The Brother Genuine High-Yield Black Toner Cartridge Twin Pack TN660 will refill the classroom printer ink.
The ink is used to differentiate in the moment. Students that need additional resources or modifications can receive them in real time. Communications can be sent home on short notice. There are endless opportunities to use the Brother ink cartridge!
Thank you again for your support!”

Funded May 9, 2023Thank you so much for the resources that you have supplied our classroom with. My students are predominantly boys and have varied interests in reading topics. I have a few Matt Christopher Sports Classics books in the class but these additional books will provide more choices. One student read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and will definitely enjoy the Roald Dahl books. Providing these choices has already increased the interest of other students in new books and will continue throughout the summer program.
The art supplies (KEFF Canvases for Painting, Painting Canvas Panels Multi Pack, Fujifilm instax instant film) will provide hands-on opportunity to my students during a summer program which will focus on various art mediums such as painting and photography. Additional art supplies will provide a broad opportunity to create art such as the Tru-Ray Construction Paper, Kkbestpack 20 Colors Pipe Cleaners, Tru-Ray Heavyweight Construction Paper. The cleaning supplies will be extremely helpful since they are not supplied (Brawny Tear-A-Square Paper Towels and Lysol Disinfectant Handi-Pack Wipes).
My students and I deeply appreciate your contribution to our classroom. We want to let you know that without your help, we would not have these”

Funded Oct 29, 2015I want to express my sincere gratitude for your donation to my project. It is wonderful to see people helping to meet one another's needs.
The Acer computer will enable students to access math, reading and writing activities within the Common Core Curriculum. The children will have interactive activities that will engage them in learning. I have already purchased main idea and writing programs that will be used on the new computer. I will now be able to provide the students with opportunity to complete the writing process with a typed final writing piece.
Once again, thank you so very much for your contribution and support!”

Funded Sep 21, 2022Once again, I would like to express my deep appreciation for your generous donation to my students and I. The Brother USB Monochrome Laser Printer with Duplex Printing has made a tremendous impact on our classroom. I have already used the Brother Genuine High-Yield Black Toner Cartridge Twin Pack to refill the ink in the printer.
As a special needs teacher I have been able to use the printer to provide immediate feedback to my students by differentiating my students work in a given moment.I have created an individual checklist and visuals for students that were printed out to accommodate student needs.
The classroom printer has already allowed my students the ability to print out their final writing piece after working through the 5 Steps in the Writing Process. Student projects can be drafted and edited and revised in minutes!
I have been able to send written communication home to parents and guardians without delay! An Individualized Education Plan (IEP) can be printed and communicated directly with parents.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated!”

Funded Apr 7, 2022My students, paraprofessionals and I truly appreciate your support! The resources that you provided will have a positive impact on our classroom! My students were in need of new 2 pocket folders since the ones they were currently using were taped up. We took time to replace the old tattered folders and replace them with the new quality folders! The pencils that my students were using were without erasers so everyone was excited to receive their own Pentel eraser and Ticonderoga pencils.
We have focused on managing stress since coming back to the classroom from COVID by daily yoga and physical activities. The Sensory Fidget Toys Pack
Relief & Anxiety Relief Tools were an absolute "hit" with the children. They each were so excited to take their time and select their first toy!
In order for my students to be successful learners, they need the school supplies. The Mr. Sketch markers and crayons are perfect! Each child made their own set of crayons to keep at their desk. My paraprofessionals and I are excited about Expo markers! Since we all make mistakes, the correction tape was the perfect way to show my students that successful learners can make a mistake and it always can be corrected!”

Funded Sep 23, 2021The donations to our class have had a great impact. The students know that they have a tablet waiting for them rather than being disappointed that there is no kindle device ready when needed. The students now each have a FIre HD 8 tablet that is colored coded with the Boskin cases. This allows each student to quickly identify which tablet is theirs and that it is ready to be used.
Students have developed the routine to be independent in charging their tablet with the charger that was included in the purchase. The students also know that once their independent work is completed they can log into their kindle to work on reinforcement skills on apps such as IXL that are leveled for their individual needs.
The SWIRLINE Party Favors and erasers are a wonderful way to provide incentive to my students to do their best work!
Once again, thank you for supporting my students!”

Funded Aug 31, 2020I want to express my sincere appreciation for your support during the COVID-19 pandemic. When I originally created this project, I never expected that it would be over a year before my students returned full time to their classroom. More than ever, our students will need social and emotional support and interaction when they do return to the school building. The Legos "Doors Windows and Roof Tiles"and "Early Simple Machines Set" will be a wonderful addition to our Legos and will provide an engaging and fun way to interact with creative and hands on activities as well as social interaction as they work together to share and be creative.
Due to the pandemic, I was not able to get all the LEGO materials that were originally on my project. I was offered the opportunity to substitute for alternate items. I thought that since the students will be adjusting back to the school routine and environment that the SereneLife Portable & Foldable Trampoline would be beneficial to my students. Since it is foldable, it will be easily accessible when students need to engage in physical activities. Once again, thank you!”

Text to Self Connections Stories
Funded Feb 11, 2020Your donation to our project, will not only help provide enjoyable stories to us, but will ultimately help to increase our ability to make text to self-connections in order to increase our reading comprehension. Being a specialized public school in the Bronx, we have different experiences and interest than other children. The books that you have donated were selected based on the individual students in mind to allow them to make connections to the text! We will benefit from the text because we have prior knowledge that we can access and make mental images and connections. As you can see from the pictures, our classroom library is a place that we really enjoy!
Once again, thank you for supporting our classroom!”

An Apple A Day, Keeps Illiteracy In Math Away!
Funded Sep 14, 2019Thank you for the two Apple iPad's and the Urban Armor Gear cases. The Apple iPad's are being used for differentiating math activities on a free website called ZEARN. The students can log in under their login and the math level adjust based on how the child answers the questions. This allows the student to be challenged without being pushed to a frustration level. Another site the students utilize is Cool Math which is fun and safe for them to explore! In reading, I have subscribed to a subscription from Reading A to Z. Again, the students login under their own username and I can monitor their reading level and comprehension.
Ink is always at a shortage at our school. This is truly a necessary item in order to create differentiated worksheets.
These will be a great tool as we continue to grow and learn in the classroom. Thank you again!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Mariquit
Light and Bright Classroom
Funded Sep 13, 2019Your donation of the Kassa Large Whiteboard Wall Sticker Roll and dry erase markers, Decorative Self-Adhesive Film in Maple Wood, and the Pacon Fadeless Paper Roll have made a significant change in the classroom environment. The Pacon paper has been used to brighten the bulletin boards in our classroom. Without windows, the classroom can be dreary but the fresh paper has brightened not only the room but our spirits. The adhesive film is being used for an old lab table in the room. The whiteboard sticker has been an novelty for the kids! As you can see from the pictures the students are engaged in math while standing up!
Thank you again!
