  • Peaceful Classroom = Peaceful Children

    Funded Sep 6, 2020

Watching the children go into the library corner and sit and look at books really warms by spirit.

Thank you so much for making a group of students extremely happy when they saw the new materials in the classroom.

The library center became a warm and inviting place for the children to sit and read books. In this new world of corona virus I was able to create a safe place to have a carpet that could easily be wiped down at the end of the day. Before the carpet arrived I only has a bare floor that was not inviting for the children. Further, I was able to create a block area center where all the tools for their play was organized in a beautiful manner. The children were more eager to build, create and then sort the materials in the given baskets.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Severino

  • A Magic Carpet

    Funded Sep 26, 2012

This is just a small way to show my appreciation for your kindness in providing us with such a beautiful gift. We have been able to use this carpet on a daily basis. The children and I have spend so much time reading and discussing stories. Further, it has provided a cozy place for children to read to themselves or with a friend. It has been our special place to do small guided reading groups and a fun place just to play with a friend.

With all the budget cuts our classrooms have been doing without some vital resources, such as a clean, beautiful carpet. As you could know, the heart of every classroom is the meeting area. I am so excited that my classroom finally has a place to come together and experience a beautiful learning environment.

Without donors like you, our classrooms will not be the ideal place it should be. I will always be eternally grateful for your generosity in providing so much joy to my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Severino

My energetic kindergartners are between the ages of five and six. They are very excited about school and soak up information like sponges. They attend a school in New York. School is a real haven for most of these students. They come in with bright, little faces and they have a million stories to share.
