Creating The Perfect ESL Classroom

Thank you so much for your generosity in helping creating a great ESL classroom! The students absolutely love the books we have duplicates of when they can read the same story together. It helps reading out loud to another person. It is easier for students to catch mistakes and correct themselves when they are able to hear what they are reading. They look forward to this activity and want to race to see who can be the first to get matching books.

The headphone splitter is also great because I only have one compact disk player in the classroom and now multiple students can listen to a story while looking at the book. Books really come to life when read aloud to students with expression and enthusiasm.

We use dry erase boards in the classroom so each student can be engaged and getting practice at the same time and I can check their answers all at once and give feedback in real time. The dry erase erasers help keep little hands clean in my classroom.”
