My goal is to build a community of lifelong readers. I know that in order to curl up and read a good book, I enjoy sitting on my couch or bench. After all, environment shapes experience. Some of the difficulties my students run into are finding a quiet and comfortable area in the classroom that will allow them to dig deeper in the reading. The class periods are 50 minutes long and sitting in a hard chair all day just wont do it for independent reading after a while. These flexible seats will give students the opportunity to sit, relax, and enjoy a good book.
