If my project is fully funded I would have the sensory tools to help my students to stay focused, remain calm, and increase their ability to learn. The iPad would be my only communication device that I have to use in the classroom. This would be instrumental with four nonverbal and two partially verbal students. One of the biggest hurdles my students face is the frustration of not being able to communicate. The iPad will allow me to have a clearer understanding of what they are trying to tell me and also what they have or haven't comprehended. The remaining classroom products, such as a portable easel, construction paper, and fidget toys, would help me to develop different projects that are both educational and support cognitive and sensory development.
