Flexable seating gives students the opportunity to have movement while not being a distraction to other students or themselves. Students at this age have a hard time sitting still while learning. I would like to be able to rotate students weekly and see what works best for them. This is a great intrinsic and extrinsic motivator for all students but especially for my special education students. I have found that a lot of my special education students do really well with this type of seating. It lets them have the freedom of movement and they don't feel stuck in a traditional chair while at their desks.
