• Helping My Buzzing Bumblebees Excel In Elementary Physical Education

  I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your generous support in fully funding our project! Thanks to your contributions, my PE classes will be able to stay active, engaged, and most importantly, have more fun.

  With the new resources, my students will have even more opportunities to stay physically active, learn teamwork, and enjoy a variety of activities that were previously out of reach. This support means so much to us and will make a real difference in our PE classes.

• Preparing Future Champion Pirates of the World!

  I'm thrilled to share the positive impact that your generous contributions have made on my student-athletes. The new resources you provided have already transformed our practices and game days, bringing a new level of energy and focus to the team.

  When the students first saw the Bluetooth speaker, their faces lit up with excitement. They couldn't wait to create a playlist for game days, and the music has added a fun and motivating atmosphere during our breaks and timeouts. The personal headset and megaphone have been game-changers during practice—now, I can give clear instructions without having to shout, and the students can stay focused on refining their skills. It's made our practices more efficient and enjoyable for everyone involved.

  One moment that stands out was during our first home game using the speaker. The team was able to keep their spirits high and stay pumped up throughout the game, and I could see the difference it made in their performance. They played with more confidence and cohesion, and it was a joy to watch.

  As for the basketball drawstring bags and necklace pendants, the students are working hard to earn these rewards. They know that maintaining A's and B's while demonstrating leadership on and off the court will lead to receiving these tokens of appreciation. It's inspiring to see how these incentives have motivated them to push themselves both academically and athletically.

  Looking ahead, we're continuing to build on this momentum. Our next steps include setting new team goals, both in terms of performance on the court and in maintaining academic excellence. The students are more committed than ever to balancing their responsibilities, and your support has been a big part of that.

• Reloading the Basketball Dock for Next Season... Go Pirates!

  Here at Hartman Middle School, we truly value the efforts of the donors to this project. The equipment we've received is helping us better prepare for the upcoming basketball season. My athletes are excited to come to practice each day since receiving the equipment. We now train with more intensity throughout practice, which is helping build our stamina and endurance as a team. I honestly, expect us to compete and even win the district trophy this season. Here at Hartman Middle School we are building champions of the future and we couldn't have done it without the help from the donors.”

• 21st Century Sailing In The Pirates Lair

  The recent donations I received from my project (21st Century Sailing In The Pirates Lair) have helped my class with more options for different activities. The various games I chose will help my students challenge their minds by using their mathematics and memorization skills. It will also help my students work on collaborating with their peers for better team work. The technology items I received will help each of my students become more knowledgeable as 21st century learner. The students in my class now have an opportunity to work hands on with all the technology donated. With most of them coming from low-income families, I know how much they appreciate each donor who gave to this project. It also showed them how much people in the world care about their education.”

• Pirate Basketball Essentials!

  Funded Dec 18, 2017

  The players are using the drinking cooler to hydrate themselves during practice breaks and throughout the game when timeouts are called by the coaches. The air pump helps us keep our balls inflated throughout the season during the game and practice time. The pack of needles will be replacement needles when the others are broken or lost.

  The players on the team reacted with total excitement when I first showed them the items that were donated. The are very excited to use the items during practice and on game day. We are so grateful to have such caring people in the world to donate to this project and help the players are Hartman Middle School.

  The next steps for the future basketball players I will coach in the upcoming years are to continue training them for a bright future in basketball, teach them the importance of taking care of the equipment, and the importance of academics in the classroom. With these essential tools and knowledge, they are guaranteed a successful basketball career at the next level.”

• Hurricane Harvey-Pirate Basketball Recovery, Houston Strong

  The items that were donated to our team are being used to help work on dribbling, shooting, and passing skills during practice. It is also helping us get better on defense and offense during the game. The ball bags are being used to transport our equipment to and from the games. The blocking pads are helping us become more physical in the paint as we post up on defense and offense.

  My players reaction on their faces when they first saw all the new items was priceless. They were overjoyed by the new equipment that was donated from the donors. They are very thankful and excited to have the opportunity to use the equipment this year during the season. Their confidence level has tremendously increase since receiving the new resources.

  The next step for my team is to continue training daily with the new equipment and build off this year's success.”
