  • Mirror Mirror- Portrait Artists

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

Thank you for your generosity and kindness. As a result of your donations to this project, my art students had the opportunity to practice and perfect their drawing from observation skills.

The materials provided, helped students explore portraiture through using mirrors. The mirrors provided a method of observing their own image and gave them the skills they needed to draw from life.

The results of this amazing portrait study gave students confidence and the impact the supplies had was unmeasurable. Thank you so very much for the incredible donation and for providing my students with this amazing art experience!”

    With gratitude,

  • Keeping It Clean For Our Health

    Funded Aug 20, 2023

On behalf of my students and myself, I wish to extend our sincerest gratitude. We are so thankful for your generosity and for the cleaning supplies for our classroom

The art room is a place where we can express ourselves and experiment with materials. We love getting our hands dirty during the creative process. However, it is so important that our room remains clean and that we maintain our health and practice good hygiene.

The materials provided in this project gave us the ability to remain healthy and clean. The clean environment helps us to continue to be creative artists, and we are so grateful for that!

  • Bringing STEM to the Art Room

    Funded Feb 24, 2022

What an amazing experience this project gave my students, and the materials for this project is what made this possible! The students created miniature parade floats for a shrunken parade. The students were so excited to create designs from their imaginations and then use the materials to build the structures that would actually move in our schools first ever miniature parade.

The materials provided movement and structure for these little sculptures. When the students saw the motors and the twinkle lights they were so inspired and excited to get working so that they could see their visions come to life!

My students are so blessed to have donors that support their creativity and imagination. My students are amazing artists and these materials are enabling the kids to understand that there are possibilities to use their art to solve real world problems, to have careers in the arts, and to make the world a more beautiful place to live in!

Thank you so very much on behalf of myself and my art students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Banker

  • Capturing Quality Art Demonstrations!

    Funded Feb 13, 2021

Throughout this year teachers and students have been faced with many obstacles. We have been working back and forth between zoom and the classroom. Some of my students learn remotely, while others have returned to the classroom. Due to scheduling, some of my students will never receive direct instruction from me. They will only take the lessons from the Google Classroom materials posted!

Using the materials provided by your generosity, I have been able to record demonstrations of my lessons. I have posted those videos to the Google Classroom so that my students working remotely get the same experience as those in person!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart! This has been invaluable. You have made this year so much more manageable and allowed me to reach my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Banker

  • Anywhere Individualized Art Kits

    Funded Sep 5, 2020

I cannot thank you enough for the addition of these supplies. These packages made it possible for my creative students to have their own individual kits for making art. Each student maintains their own art supplies. This keeps them safe from cross contamination during this pandemic. They have also been given a gift of ownership of their own materials! This has strengthened their creativity and their passion for their artwork.

The impact of the materials has been wonderful. The students were so flattered by the kindness of the donors. It has impacted their behavior as well as their artwork. They take better care of their own materials. They have a true understanding of what kindness is, and this has been reflected in how they relate to each other.

We are working on incredible works of art and my student's creativity blows me away. We will have many opportunities for art exhibits and competitions. All of this would not have been possible if it were not for the generosity of the donors.”

    With gratitude,

  • S.T.E.A.M. Creating Drawing Robots

    Funded Feb 3, 2018

Our students were so excited to be able to explore S.T.E.A.M. learning! We were able to use the materials to incorporate science, technology, engineering, art and math into one project. This experience was hands on and lots of fun. We built robots that used propellers to create motion and then added markers for the robot legs. As the robots moved across the page they drew fabulous lines! The final mural evoked feelings of a Jackson Pollock painting! My students were so proud of their work, completely engaged and they had a wonderful learning experience that they are sure to remember for years to come!!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Banker

I am always looking for new and inspiring ways to bring learning into my classroom. My students are hands-on learners who love to be creative and experiment with materials. I love incorporating information learned in the core subjects into the art room. This practice gives the students the opportunity to discover real-life applications of the information they are gaining. In this lesson we will imagine, design, and build robots that will move and make marks (or draw) as they move across the paper. The students will use motors, batteries, and markers to learn about engineering, circuitry, and design while using many recycled materials to build the bones of their robots! This will inspire and challenge my students and provide a lasting memory of something they created with their own hands!
