Browne Education Campus aims to grow a Culture of Reading within our school community. Our Culture of Reading initiative seeks to inspire students to make reading a habit and not merely a chore, to make reading a joy and never burden, and to make reading a desired activity as opposed to an academic obligation. Our goal is to grow a body of students who enjoy reading, and who desire to read any and all literature, and informative reading material, within their reach. In growing a culture of reading, we aim to grow a community of book worms, information seekers, academic stakeholders, scholars and life-long learners. The ultimate goal for Browne Education Campus is that every student will develop a love of reading, and as a result, will purposefully walk the corridors and enter classrooms with a book in hand everyday, spending every moment possible immersed in a book, reading for pleasure, information, motivation, student development, achievement and empowerment. Browne Reads "A Wrinkle in Time" Together will kick off a school wide initiative aimed at "Growing a Culture of Reading" at Browne Education Campus that will extend throughout the spring semester. These books will serve as a catalyst for change and growth for students who have not had the opportunity to imagine the possibilities nor experience the joy of reading. We intend to make this a reality for every student at Browne!
