What A Treasure
Funded Apr 6, 2023Thank you for funding this project which has brought a lot more attentiveness in my class. My students were elated when I shared with them our new incentive treasure box and it's many treasures. All of the boys gravitate towards the bouncy balls as their prize to receive when they visit the treasure box. The classroom behaviors are better because of the new treasure box. I like having the students uninterrupted attention during instruction and the treasure box has helped me maintain their attentiveness. I have challenged my most energetic students weekly with this box and have lost because their behaviors have improved as well as their on target participation. I thank you again for helping me help my students. This treasure box is a hit in my classroom.”

Funded Jun 14, 2022I cannot express in words how you have brightened the eyes and peeked the curiosity of my students with the funding of this project. When I shared with the class the fluffy birds, the colorful books, and the puzzle their eyes widened. As we shared and explored the birdhouse birds, one student discovered that the birds chirped and said their names. All the students wanted to press and listen. Many of the students recognized the blue jay and it's sound. All of them wanted to take home the stuffed red tailed hawk. The students are at the beginning of the bird unit, so the different books are great books for picture walks in the classroom. You have brought so many smiles to our class and helped bring curiosity into our learning.”

Funded Jul 13, 2022Thank you for your generosity in funding this project. My students really enjoy the cushions during our floor groups and small group times. My students were amazed when I first shared the new classroom furniture. One student yelled out, "we are sitting on real trees!" Another student asked, "who cut the tree down to make these chairs?" It wasn't until they were able to touch and feel them did they really like them. Although we have small groups, some students want to sit on them in their chairs. Your kindness has brought even more comfort and sharing into our classroom. I want to thank you again for helping us.”

Funded Nov 27, 2017My students are having an awesome time exploring our concepts related to Math and Science. Many of my students have no experience with laptops. So to be able to navigate through the Internet and unlock a world of knowledge with this new technology was such a thrill to my students. Google has become one of the resources that they enjoy using when they come across an unfamiliar concept or term. "Can we google energy sources, so we can find out some more about it", stated one of my first grade students.
Students have the opportunity to work with a partner or small group with the new technology. By working with others, they're able to teach and learn from one another. At the end of the units of study with this new technology, the students are able to walk away with a more in depth understanding of the concepts taught. As well as, discover real life applications.
Thanks again for your donation and support of our Science Everywhere Project. Your great efforts have touch the lives of my students and help further their educational experience in first grade.”
