Safety First
Funded Jan 1, 2022My scholars and I cannot thank you enough for the resources that you have donated to us. Because of your generosity, my scholars were a lot safer this school year. Your generosity is greatly appreciated by me, my scholars, and the other classes that were fortunate enough to get some of our cleaning supplies and school supplies offered to us. The materials that we received brought a sense of security to our learning environment. We used our materials for several projects. My scholars were able to walk into a safe environment daily because of your selfless act of compassion.
My scholars were extremely excited when the materials arrived. Your contributions brought happiness and safety to our classroom. Your generosity showed my scholars that no matter what is happening around them, the world is still a good place. No matter what challenges they will face in the future, they will know that there are superheroes like you in the world to help.
We are at the end of our school year but we continue to benefit from the supplies. The Clorox wipes and sprays help prevent germs in our environment. The scholars have classroom supplies to support their projects throughout the year. My scholars have the option of taking home some of our classroom supplies so that they can continue to create projects of their choice over the summer. Your donations have given them the opportunity to continue to learn even when they are out of school.”

Funded Dec 17, 2021My scholars and I are extremely grateful for the resources that you have donated to us. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. The materials that we received brought joy and excitement to our classroom. The materials are being used for projects and well as for regular classroom assignments. One of the projects was the Dr. Martin Luther King Peace March Project. The materials helped brought life to their work.
My scholars were beyond excited when they saw the materials. The looks and their faces showed so much joy and gratitude. We cannot thank you enough. Your contributions help my scholars to see that the world is a good place. No matter how much challenges they will face, they will always know that there are superheroes like you to help shine a light for them to see their way through.

Funded Feb 26, 2021This project has greatly impacted my students and I in many ways. First, it's
important to understand just how difficult teaching 29 4th graders are, but to
do it remotely has been on of the most challenging aspects of my teaching career.
Sitting behind a small computer screen where I am not able to physically
engage with the students, or the students with each other has been the
most difficult part. A second monitor gives me the opportunity to assign
them into breakout rooms where they can see and interact with one another,
while still being able to supervise both rooms. While presenting on one
monitor, it is important that I make the material as large as possible so the
students can see it. With one monitor it becomes virtually impossible to see
all the students which limits me in seeing their reaction or any signs of
confusion to what is being taught. A second monitor has provided me with
the ability to present on one screen while minimizing the material on the
second screen so the students can see the content more clearly and I can
respond to them raising their hands without having to scroll back and forth.
Students no longer express frustration from having to wait because they
were not seen.”
