My students are struggling to learn to read and write. The majority of them are Spanish speakers and come from poverty. Currently, I don't have a phonics curriculum which is making it difficult to teach my students. Having this phonics curriculum will make a world of difference in teaching my students language arts. Second language learners need visual representations of letters and words to help them make connections. This will give that to them. Additionally, having a complete program will help me out when planning lessons since I won't have to search the internet for videos, hands-on manipulatives, and books to read aloud. Overall, this provides me and my students with a comprehensive curriculum.
