Funded Nov 29, 2021We love reading the current event articles from Time for Kids. The relevant up to date articles has helped our initiative to become global citizens who stay up to date on current events.
The weekly issues remind us that the only source of information is not the internet. We have print resources as well! We paired this current event learning with listening to a kids podcast about current events. We have really enjoyed spending time exploring what is going on in the world around us!
Thank you so much for your contributions to our classroom and our learning!”

Supporting Remote Learners
Funded Jan 4, 2021Thank you so much for your kindness and willingness to support our classroom community. This year has so many unique challenges for us all and we have immense gratitude for you helping us have what we need to teach and learn the best we can. The dual screens and document makes remote learning more engaging and easier for both the teachers and the students. Both these technologies have allowed us to do activities and lessons we otherwise wouldn't have been able to do. We can not thank you enough for your continued support!”

Classroom Essentials for 5th Grade!
Funded Dec 2, 2017We just received our generous donations and I can't explain to you the excitement that the students showed while we unpacked the supplies! They were all actively engaged with the opening, distribution and the putting away of the materials. We gave each of our students a glue stick to be responsible for and they were ecstatic! My students, as well as my team teachers and myself are so grateful for your help.
So far, we used the materials to give our students the necessary glue stick for their everyday use. Our class also did a holiday craft of marbleizing paper to make tree ornaments as well as a holiday experiment of which cookie absorbs the most milk (chocolate chip cookies absorb the most milk) with the help of your donation. We have many more plans for the use of the supplies.
Right now, we are studying the rain forest and the ancient civilizations. We plan to construct a rain forest emersion experience in the fifth grade hallway for the schools younger students to enjoy. We will also be building pyramids and constructing masks in this unit. As you can see, we try to make our units filled with hands on experiences and you helped make that possible. Thank you so much!”
