  • Exploring Forces and Motion with Engaging STEM Activities

    Funded Feb 27, 2025

The new resources have transformed our classroom into a dynamic learning environment. Students are using the Hardwood Vehicles, Ramps & Balls Set, Cotton Balls, Replacement Marbles, and Marble Runs to explore the principles of forces and motion. One specific project involved students designing their own marble runs to test how different angles and surfaces affect speed and distance. This hands-on activity not only reinforced their understanding of physics but also encouraged teamwork and creativity.

The excitement was palpable when the materials arrived. Students' faces lit up with curiosity and anticipation as they unpacked the boxes. They were eager to start experimenting and couldn't wait to see how the new tools would enhance their learning. Their enthusiasm was a testament to the impact these resources have on making learning engaging and fun.

With these new materials, our next steps involve deeper exploration into the concepts of friction, gravity, and energy transfer. Students will be conducting experiments to see how different surfaces and materials affect the movement of objects. Additionally, we plan to integrate these hands-on activities with digital simulations to provide a comprehensive understanding of the topics.

Your generous contribution has made a significant difference in our classroom. It has not only provided essential tools for learning but also inspired a new level of curiosity and engagement among our students. Thank you for being a vital part of our educational journey!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Popow

  • Building Bright Futures: STEM Learning Tools for Our Classroom

    Funded Dec 16, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous contributions! Your support has brought exciting new STEM tools to our classroom, making learning more engaging and fun.

Our students are thrilled with the new materials. For example, the Wooden Replacement Cars have helped them understand gravity and motion through hands-on projects. They loved creating race tracks and experimenting with different slopes.

The students were ecstatic when they saw the new materials. The 3D Fireworks Glasses and Super-Safe Prisms made learning about light and colors exciting and interactive.

We are currently using the Mini Flashlight Set for light and shadow experiments. The AAA Batteries keep our experiments running smoothly. The Lakeshore Ramps & Balls Storage Box helps us stay organized, and the Wooden Blocks encourage creativity and teamwork.

We aim to create a dynamic learning environment where students can explore STEM concepts through hands-on activities, fostering a love for science and inspiring future innovators.

Our students are curious and eager to learn. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to our classroom. Their enthusiasm is truly inspiring.

Thank you again for your support. You have made a lasting impact on our students' education.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Popow

  • Ignite Curiosity and Spark Discovery: Science Materials for Elementary Students

    Funded Oct 1, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous support! The new materials you've provided have made science come alive in our classroom. My students are loving the hands-on experiments. One highlight was using baking soda and vinegar to explore chemical reactions. The kids were thrilled to see the fizz and bubbles, and they used magnifying glasses to observe and record their findings, which helped them develop important skills like observation and critical thinking.

When they first saw the new supplies, their excitement was contagious! They immediately started experimenting and asking questions. Next, we'll be exploring non-Newtonian fluids with cornstarch and water, and investigating plant growth in hydroponic sand. These activities will help them understand important scientific concepts while encouraging teamwork and problem-solving.

Your support is helping create a classroom where curiosity thrives. Thank you for making this possible and inspiring the next generation of young scientists!”

    With gratitude,

We are an Integrated Co-Teaching Classroom. So, we have special education students and general education students in our classes. We have a wide variety of needs to meet. Our students enjoy projects and group work. This year is their final year in elementary school and they are looking forward to middle school. We manage our classroom with Classroom Economies. This allows students to be exposed to salaries, rent, bonuses and fines. It is our goal to embed financial literacy instruction into our curriculum. Financial literacy can help minimizing the achievement gap. We are a passionate group of learners and teachers and thank you for any help you might offer!
