Connecting Through Virtual Learning
Funded Sep 9, 2020How can I express how grateful that I am of your generous contribution to our classroom. Our kids are working very hard this year, in spite of the set backs that are happing in the world. The ones that are face to face, come in everyday with a smile and ready to learn.
When I mentioned to the scholars that our project was funded, the look on their faces was priceless. They know that someone out their cares about the learning and their future. The kids absolutely love to work with the manipulatives and get their little hands on the resources. Before I can even change the calendar, they are willing and asking to update the calendar math board.
As we continue throughout this school year, I will continue to provide my scholars with all of learning opportunities for them to be successful. We know that they need hands on resources to help with ensuring that they develop the skills that they need.”

Funded Aug 11, 2020I would like to thank you for your generosity. This has been a tough time for my scholars. They have the school buildings, friends, and some even depended on the schools for their meals. The donation of snacks has helped me fill the void of some of my scholars lack of food.
I coordinated a drop off with my scholar's parents. I personally drove to each of their homes, and delivered goodie bags filled with the snacks that were donated to us. As you can see the smiles on their faces is priceless. It warmed my heart to be able to take a little stress off of their lives for the moment.
Luckily, I have a few of the donated items still. I provide my scholars with a snack daily. Most of them ask if they can get extra to take home, and of course it is my joy to provide them with a snack that will help in any way. Again, thank you for helping to put a smile on my scholar's faces in these unprecedented times.”

Funded Oct 30, 2019I want to thank you again for donating to our project. My kids have taken great ownership in their learning. They are so enthusiastic about what they get to do in the listening station now. The activities that came with the CDs, help to give another approach to our kids learning and mastering the phonics. Also, when I told them that we were getting so new materials that was donated to our classroom, they were so thrilled. Their little faces just lit up with joy, just knowing that they were chosen to be recipients of some learning materials. I hope that you truly know how much you brighten the lives of our little people. Also, this has allowed my students to gain a better knowledge of the high frequency words. It is a more interactive way, instead of the boring flash cards. Again, thank you for for your generosity in donating these much needed materials to my students and our classroom.”

Funded May 6, 2019Thank you so much for your generosity. The love and the excitement that my students have when they get a chance to go into our classroom library is indescribable. Many of our books have been books that I've collected since I started my teaching career 17 years ago. Many of the books that I requested have helped my students works on their phonics, with easy to read VCV words. This helps build their confidence and allows for success. I been able to use these books also with teaching rhymes. Allowing for my students to hear and practice listening for those final sounds that are sometimes difficult to hear to the young learner.
Everyday my students have the opportunity to rotate in their workstations that are stocked with books for reading. It is very important to give the students numerous interactions with books.
Again, it is continuing to be a joy watching my students eyes light up whenever they get to read. Thank you so much for being a part of impacting my students lives and helping to build the love of reading.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018My kids were so excited to see what your donations contributed to our classroom. I encourage them to express themselves often using art. They were only limited to crayons and makers. My kids were so excited to see all of the beautiful colors of paints and paintbrushes, that they ask everyday if we are going to paint something. Just this week, we have been talking about metamorphosis and caterpillars, that the kids have painted some of the most beautiful butterflies. Allowing them to continue to express themselves have just been rewarding.
Also, getting the seat sack have really made my students more independent and responsible. They are able to keep up with their materials better. My kids have taken pride in having their own place for their things. I've noticed, that they want to put everything in their seat sack. I've had to encourage them to continue to use their cubbyholes to store some of their things.
Your generosity towards our classroom, has been unimaginable. To see the looks on my student's faces has been priceless. The majority of the kids that I teach are from low-income households. So we do our best with the resources that are available to us. It has been an honor for you to donate to our classroom, and brighten up the faces of my young people.”

Funded Mar 13, 2018What a blessing that you have been to our classroom. The students absolutely enjoy working with the items that were donated to our classroom. Our school is located in a low-income area. They have limited access to resources outside of the school. Since my students don't have access to a computer lab, I try and give them the opportunity to experience technology of the future. Technology is advancing daily, and by the time my PreK students are older, technology would have advanced to beyond what we can imagine. I encourage them to search for answers to questions that they may have about a topic. With the touchscreen laptop, the students have the opportunity to draw right on the screen. They absolutely love showing me what they are working on. I have future engineers and they love the 3-D feature that can be used when creating their masterpiece. We are beyond words how grateful that we are. Thank you for considering our classroom.”
