I teach three groups of ELL students in the subject of REading/LA. Even though some of my students are at an advanced level in speaking, listening and reading; they struggle with writing. One of the most pressing needs is in the area of vocabulary development. In addition, the lack of background knowledge makes writing about a given topic more challenging.
