The new leveled reader library will allow my students to bring home books to read. Last year, due to Covid, my students couldn't bring books home because I didn't have a large enough library to give the books time to (quarantine) before getting to be loaned out again. With the addition of these books, I will be able to do just that. Along with the leveled readers, the other diverse books will help spark the interest of my students. The area rug will create a comfy zone for my students to safely social distance, relax, and get cozy with their books. The marble run and the storybook LEGO set will provide my students with fun, engineering, activities to explore during their day, while safely social distancing. Each activity can be done individually at their desk. After a year of distance learning where most of their learning was done online, providing my students with hands-on opportunities is so crucial this year. I love that I can use these items because they can get properly disinfected after each use. The Play-Doh and art easel will provide my students a safe and creative way to express their learning. Play-Doh makes learning addition and subtraction very engaging for my students. Getting to squash Play-Doh balls during subtraction is so FUN!
