  • STEM Materials Engineer Tomorrow's Future

    Funded Oct 27, 2021

Thank you so much for contributing to make my students' education as fulfilling as possible during these unprecedented times. Instruction while social distancing has been challenging for both my students and I and, your kindness and generosity are very much appreciated to ease our learning journey.

My students were excited to see the new materials and participate in lessons using the variety of manipulatives provided. The students are able to easily follow along with the Math and Science STEM lessons by having individual materials. These materials are used during whole group, small group virtual instruction and during one on one instruction. They have been so useful and have assisted in making instruction more interactive and overall engaging for all students.

The Literacy STEM are used for our hands-on and visual learners as they strengthen their literacy skills by extending stories read in the classroom. Additionally, fine motor stem materials is are excellent tools for the children to practice logical reasoning and problem solving skills. Utilizing these materials allows for the preschool standards to be met while teaching and social distancing.

Lastly, my students are happy to use extensive manipulatives to learn in the classroom making their learning experience a positive one.

    Thanks again for your generosity.”

  • Fitness Activities Keep Us Healthy

    Funded Sep 29, 2021

Thank you so much for contributing to make my students' education as fulfilling as possible during these unprecedented times. Returning to the classroom after virtual instruction has been challenging for both my students and I and your kindness and generosity are very much appreciated.

My students were excited to see the new materials and participate in lessons using the watches and health trackers. Counting and comparing the number of steps the children take during our daily "Math" lessons has been super exciting . The students are provided visuals that correspond with the activity, they graph their results and all of this encourages friendly competition while encouraging healthy choices. The children engage in gross motor activities in the classroom, during physical education class and during outside time. The alcohol swabs and extra bands has made sharing the materials safer during these trying times.

Overall, it has been so delightful to see the students enthusiastic about exercising and moving. These materials have proven to be useful and have assisted in making instruction more interactive and overall engaging for all students.

Lastly, thank you so much for your humble donation. It has enabled me to enrich my students' educational experience while helping to keep them healthy.

    Thanks again.”

The children in my classroom have a strong desire to explore and discover. Their natural curiosity affords them ample opportunities to interact, question, connect, problem-solve, communicate, reflect and extend their learning. Exposing students to state of the art materials assists them in maintaining competitive in the academic field. The use of the requested Nikon camera and an Apple MacBook Airlaptop computer will allow them to be active participants in their learning. They will use the camera to document their experiences in the classroom. For instance, the children have been exploring nature and pretending to take pictures of things they view; pumpkins, apples, leaves, etc. using their fingers as pretend cameras. Now they can use a real camera. Also, they will be able to use the laptop to research real-world topics as well as take virtual field trips. Utilizing technology in the classroom will assist my students in creating new memories and fostering new experiences that would otherwise not be possible.
