  • Keys to Success

    Funded May 4, 2021

I am so grateful for your love and support. This year has been nothing short of a blur. In that I mean, we as teachers, have demonstrated grit and so much more. We have learned new technology and strategies to serve our students. While this new learning occurred, we also learned we needed new types of classroom materials. We learned that a keyboard was more important than a glue stick this year. This is something you were able to give to me. For that, I wholeheartedly thank you. You are truly amazing!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. King

  • Organized Mess

    Funded May 4, 2021

Wow! Thank you so much for your donation and your contribution. When you think about something as simple as organization, you really begin to understand how important it is. Not only to be organized but to have a visual for all to see. These calendars and boards will not only help to streamline our work, but to help guide us daily. Having these on the wall make it easier to keep up with things and understand where the week is taking us. It is almost as if our goals are displayed for all to see. Thanks so much!”

  • STEAM Supplies to Make, Create, and Celebrate Creativity

    Funded Feb 13, 2021

Wow! We have had so much fun with these new supplies! Normalcy is finally starting to return and we are getting to do more hands-on projects with our STEAM learning. These supplies have helped us to be makers and creators. The joy that these have brought to my students is immeasurable. We have created solutions to problems and have explored a new level of creativity. The feeling that I have got from watching my students use their imaginations to build has been the best. Thank you for your kindness and compassion! I am so grateful for the pure happiness you have brought to my classroom. My heart is so full.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. King

  • Virtual Learning in a Virtual World

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Words cannot truly describe how grateful I am for your donation. This year has been anything but ordinary. In the drop of a hat, teachers were asked to change everything they. These gift cards have helped me to purchase activities and products that have truly helped my students make gains, even in a virtual world. I really don't know what I would have done without your support. Teachers are used to spending their own money on their supplies and materials, but this year has been even more expensive. You have not only helped my students, but have helped my family. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.”

  • Learning With Literature

    Funded Jan 4, 2021

Thank you so much for these books! You have no idea how thrilled my students and I were to see these. Not only are these used each week, but they bring inspiration and creativity to our classroom. We use these books to stem student discussion. Even at 6 feet apart, our students can still engage in meaningful conversation and learning exercises. I'm so thankful to bring books that are based of STEAM and MAKERS to my students. To see their smiles and their wheels turn truly makes my day. I can't imagine not having these in my classroom.Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. King

  • Storybook STEAM

    Funded Jan 4, 2021

Wow! The books you have given me have been the cornerstone to my instruction. I love starting STEAM with a story. We utilize these amazing books each week and try to solve problems in the book by being MAKERS. It is absolutely amazing to see the learning that takes place. These help me to not only have a spark to our projects, but to also aide in literacy instruction in my STEAM Lab. The kids have loved these books and I'm so proud to have them. So many wonderful tales that can inspire our students and their imagination. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. King

  • Virtual STEAM-The New Way of Learning!

    Funded Jan 8, 2021

Being a STEAM teacher, I am an all hands on deck kind of person. We love to make, create, and utilize materials in our learning process. While we have been virtual, some of the opportunities I could provide have been non-existent. You have helped to make some of those opportunities possible for my students to continue to learn and receive the STEAM experience from afar. My students were thrilled to see our STEAM fun could continue, even virtually. Thanks to you, this was possible. I am incredibly grateful for all that you have given to our small little school.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. King

  • Let's Get Virtually Engaged!

    Funded Jan 23, 2021

In a time where the education world as we know it has been turned upside down, you have provided joy and aide to my students and to myself. With the funding of this Donor's Choose I have been able to help my students in multiple ways. I have been able to assign and utilize more engaging and meaningful activities that help to reach our in-person and virtual students. I am eternally grateful for the compassion and thoughtfulness you have shown to us. Thank you for making the world a little brighter!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. King

  • Making Makers!

    Funded Jan 4, 2021

You have truly brought joy to my students! Thanks to your donation we were able to use our new "maker" supplies to build and create. It was incredible to see our students use their imagination and create hands-on projects. These students were provided a challenge to create a hideout for a penguin. You should have seen their wheels turning! We had been reading Tacky the Penguin and we applied our learning and extended our thinking. You have honestly made a difference in their lives. They look forward to using our maker supplies and it provides them a break from this COVID world we are currently living in. You have blessed us all! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. King

  • Full STEAM Ahead!

    Funded Oct 1, 2020

Wow! I was in tears when I found out this project had been funded. You have given my students the gift of creating and hands-on learning. Being a STEAM teacher I want to encourage my students to utilize their imagination and make things out of whatever I provide them. You have given me so many more tools and STEAM possibilities. My students were so excited to see our new materials. These will make a difference in my STEAM instruction by also getting to introduce coding with the OSMOS and Code-a-pillars. What a bright spot in this crazy year! Bless you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. King

Currently, we use a dish draining rack and milk crate for the storage/charging of our Chromebooks. This is why my students are in grave need of safe and effective charging for their Chromebooks. You can imagine what a mess we create daily trying to get them in and out. I also worry about the dangling cords in the floor this presents. Not only do we waste critical instruction time getting to these, but I also fear they will not last as long due to the harsh conditions. We are not yet a 1:1 school, but hope to be soon. Being in a high-poverty area, we try to do our best to care for our Chromebooks to make them last longer. We struggle on a daily basis just to get them out and in of their current storage container. This style of charging cart would make all the difference in the world as it advertises that it's easy access saves you two weeks in instruction time over the course of a year, compared to other storage/charging methods.
