We will use the book choices to compliment our STEM challenges. Utilizing Read-Alouds to enhance our STEM lessons encourages students to connect the content and build literacy skills. In a world where education and future careers are rapidly advancing in technology, we use our STEM challenges to tie in many elements of education. Bringing literature together with Sciences and Technology enables students to learn in a way that encourages each one of them to connect what they love to what they are learning about. Connecting literature to STEM helps spark creativity and build empathy. Variety and diversity in literature helps students to see themselves and others as a valuable part of the world. Reading books to students of all elementary grades helps promote the value of reading in our classrooms!
