I am the resource specialist teacher at our school. More than three-quarters of the students in our school come from lowincome households. Besides autism, some of my students also have anxiety, ADHD, and specific learning disabilities. However, despite their disabilities, they always come to school with smiles on their faces.
Adapting to distance learning has not been easy, but my students are diligent and I know that they will persevere.
My students are in the general education core curriculum. This workload is sometimes difficult for them, and it requires me to constantly think of ways to help them stay focused and engaged so that they can be successful in the classroom. My students love to learn and are very inquisitive which is an attribute I love about them!
