Did you know, "Health experts report that even a 2-degree drop in body temperature results in reduced heart rate, loss of coordination, and confusion. Adults cannot work effectively and children find it difficult to learn. For most, a warm coat solves the problem. But, for the nearly 15% of Americans living in poverty, a warm winter coat is a budget 'extra,'" For those in our area, who are already facing harsh weather conditions a month earlier than normal staying warm is not only key to success but key to survival. By donating to help purchase warm socks, hats, gloves, and snow pants for our kiddos who spend time outside at recess and waiting at the bus stop you will not only be helping to better serve their education but also keep them safe and warm throughout the winter. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. I am excited to kick off this campaign as I am also working on donations of gently used and new coats and boots as well! I am excited to promote positive community spirit and introduce our kids to the idea of caring for one another in times of need. Thank you for your support and for making a difference in the lives of our kids!
