My students start off class by sitting in rows on the floor. We are in a portable which is our permanent room and the carpet is old, and torn. I used to put duck tape down for them to see their rows then someone donated a very old, dirty rug to me. Our students would love one that is clean, bright, shows music, and makes them feel they deserve nice things. After sitting, we move around a lot and this rug moves too much for safety. Whether we are dancing, creating movements, playing our percussion instruments or singing, we love the music room and would love a rug that loves us back.
