With the growing importance being placed on independent reading, I am hoping to create a classroom of lifelong readers. I want my students to be able to read comfortably in different areas around my classroom. I would love to have stools and a variety of pillows for the students to read on as well as listen to books. I believe that creating this cozy and inviting atmosphere will get students to read even more. Receiving these items will help them to do that, while also making independent reading time more fun and engaging. Curling up with a good book makes reading so much more fun. I want my students to develop a love for reading, and simple items like pillows and stools can make a huge difference by making the time spent reading independently more fun and exciting for second-graders. Having a classroom which is comfortable and cozy will allow my students to want to read as well as read more. I hope you will consider making a direct impact on young readers by helping us get these items!
