  • Show What You Know

    Funded Oct 22, 2023

Thank you again for our class set of white boards. The students were so excited to receive them! They were happy to replace our old peeling boards. Many of them are empowered to take care of the new ones as they feel a sense of ownership.

Since adding them to our environment students are more eager to show their work during math, break down words during reading and even play collaborative learning games!

We were also able to pack learning on the go kits with out old boards to help keep kids learning on days away frim school.”

  • Celebrating All Identities

    Funded May 9, 2023

Thank you for these amazing books! These books have been a great addition to our classroom library. We have used the books in whole group read a louds, small reading groups and even allowed students to check them out of the classroom library!

This has been one of the best additions to our classrooms. Many students request to read these books and enjoy discussing them. It has been heartwarming to see so many students ( with and without disabilities) relate to the characters. Many have shared stories of feeling like they have moments where they feel alone in their feelings around not being able to do " what everyone else is doing".

Many families have requested that some of the books come home so they can continue the conversations about learning differences with their children. The current sentiment in our classroom is that everyone is special and everyone learns differently. Thank you again for helping bring our school's mission to empower EVERY student to be thei best self to life we are very grateful. Your donation has and will continue to impact our whole school community.”

  • Meet Me on the Carpet

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you agin for your support with this bringing this project to life. The students love our new meeting spaces and colored prints We are always eager to start the day on the carpet. We opened our packages a class and the students were so happy to get brand new carpets. Many of the students commented on the color as well as how clean they were. They were also excited to get color coded tools and word walls to help them meet classroom goals.

Each morning we kick off our day with a morning meeting in our communal meeting place. Throughout the day students find cozy places to read, write and work in groups around the classroom , thanks to our new classroom carpets. Students use color copies as tools to help support their reading and writing . We were even able to print out cover pages for their published writing, helping students feel like actual authors.

Although, the carpets were intended to provide students with meeting spaces they have also help foster a sense of pride in the classroom. Many students work really hard to keep the carpets clean and have even elected a carpet cleaner as a classroom job.”

  • Help us be ready for anything!

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Thank you for your donation. This gift card has allowed me to purchase so many resources from teachers pay teachers. I was able to purchase a civil rights unit for your social studies lessons, virtual science labs, reading goal desk checklist, and virtual math manipulatives. My students love having access to many of these resources virtually. They have learned so much and are eager to learn more. They especially love science labs. This has allowed me to bring science to life through the computer screen. So many students have grown a love of science thanks to your contribution. These resources were able to help us pivot from in-person to virtual instruction when necessary.

As we continue through this every changing school year we will continue to use these resources to learn more about the world around us.”

  • When We Are Focused We Can Learn!

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

Thank you so much for your donations. My class was so grateful for the snacks. As a teacher I have seen first hand the impact of a hungry student. These generous donations helped my students avoid the difficulty of having to work through being hungry during a lesson and helped us build community. Thorough the donations we were able to provide snack to our students each day during their independent work time.

I created this snack thinking it would provide my students with a snack to provide them with energy and nutrition to last to lunch but it provided them with that and so much more. Upon offering snacks students immediately became more engaged in their classwork. I saw a new side of my students as many of them learned to express gratitude, share and work together.

Our students were so exited when helping us unpack snack. Many of them were excited to try snacks they never tried. This was also a good opportunity to explain donations, why people donate and why they were deserving of the snacks. The students were extremely gracious and even suggested having a community snack day with the other 4th grade classes. Many of them even began asking friends and family members to donate snacks.

As the school year continues we will try to continue to provide our kids with snack as well continue to discuss and show the power of donations and contributing the lives of others> I can not thank our donors enough!”
