My students want to have fun at recess, but don't have the equipment for the play ground. My students often ask me, the PE teacher, for a football, soccer ball, jump rope, basketball, or just a playground ball so they can play with it at recess. I don't have equipment for PE or equipment to lend out to them for recess.
My students have learned several skills in PE class and would like to use what they have learned in PE and outside at recess. They want to practice these skills that they will use throughout their lives, but do not have the means to do this.
Here's an example. In physical education we just started learning to jump rope. Many of my students want to check out jump ropes from PE for recess to practice so they can get into what I call the one minute club for jumping. The one minute club for jump rope requires a student to jump the rope for one minute without stopping. So many of my students want to practice jumping so they can get into this club but they don't have jump ropes.
My students want to practice the skills they have learned in PE at recess but they do not have the resources to do any of these activities. My students do not have playground balls, footballs, basketballs, jump ropes, or soccer balls. They want to play four square, soccer, basketball, or pass the football to work on their throwing skills at recess for their PE class.
Please help my students have the ability to practice all the wonderful skills they need to have for PE at recess by helping get recess and PE equipment to our school.
