My students need technology in our classroom because technology creates a world of possibilities. The laptop will be used to make history class interesting and engaging. Students will be using the laptop for research projects and for creating powerpoint presentations. Students will also use the laptop to bring history alive through videos and webinars. Students will use the laptop to go on virtual field trips and collaborate with their classmates. Lastly the laptop will used to create learning stations. The learning stations will include activities like; using virtual manipulatives, solving relevant problems through a computer game, recording thoughts and responses to a podcast and, collaborating with classmates on a Wiki page.
