  • Got Soap?

    Funded Aug 11, 2023

We truly appreciate the time, energy, and money to donate to our school for things such as soap! Your generosity keeps things moving and we certainly would be less well off without your support! I realize funding projects like these that aren't that exciting or fun might be boring? But trust me is isn't any less needed! I will be forever grateful that we have had these supplies on hand for my class even after our school as a whole has run out of money for the same stuff so we were never left wanting. What a blessing!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bahari

  • Let's Mark It Up, and Make It Our Own!

    Funded Apr 2, 2024

This was absolutely so much fun! The kids had been working so hard learning on their recorders in music class, and they LOVED being able to decorate and personalize their instruments in art! The kids always enjoy using POSCA markers, but they are a bit too expensive for us to buy regularly so this was a very special treat for our 3rd graders to experience!

It was super exciting seeing the students perform for their parents with their newly decorated recorders at their concert. The parents were so surprised to see their creations!

thank you all for making it happen!”

    With gratitude,

  • Got Paint??!!

    Funded May 21, 2024

You can not understand what your donations mean to myself or my students. With costs of expensive paint being covered out of the budget and have a whole much more wiggle room to use even cooler innovative ideas to continue making awesome artwork with my students. Thank you so much from the bottom of my rainbow heart!!❤️”

  • STEMtastic Learning in the Art!

    Funded Dec 9, 2022

These supplies have been SO MUCH FUN for my students to get to use, create, and play with! We use the LEGOS and Play-Dough as stations and early finisher rewards! We also had a whole week of LEGO experiences where our creativity soared! My students had a builders competition to see who could construct the most elaborate building designs, and some of them were just insane!

We even used the LEGOS to design our blueprint for our recycled material building project! Thank you for making this possible for my very deserving kiddos!!❤️”

  • Some Tasty Incentives to Promote Positive Art Room Behavior

    Funded Dec 16, 2021

Teaching at an inner city, Title 1 school, naturally comes with its challenges, behavior being a big one, and budget being another. With your donation I was able to tackle both at the same time!

Having yummy treats and small treasures available for them to work towards has been a game changer! I can not tell you how much of a difference having this reward system in place. That good classroom behavior is shining right through and we have been making AMAZING art as a result!! And Let me tell you having a larger Grand Prize as a long term goal has allowed even some of my more challenging students to feel they can work towards something they really want!”

  • We Need a New Pencil Sharpener to Stay on Point!

    Funded Feb 10, 2022

Thank you so much! I know it may seem like a small thing, but I am so incredibly grateful to have this win in an already hectic year! These pencil sharpeners will help extend the life of our drawing pencils and colored pencils for a good while. I honestly almost cried tears of gratitude when I saw the project was fully funded. You are awesome and amazing and have made this teacher's day! Not to mention the kiddos love using the pencil sharpeners so it's one less thing I need to worry about during an already busy day! This gift is VERY much appreciated!”

  • “To Travel is to Live”....A Globe is a Good Start!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you so much for funding my project where my students and the art classroom received an incredible world map, and beautiful globe. My students were amazed and happy when the packages started coming in the mail. We immediately put the World map to good use, as I am introducing the country of Australia to my students this year. One student remarked, "It's so cool! Now we can see all the countries so much easier since they're different colors."

My students are able to see the countries and their political boundaries more vividly with the larger wall maps. It's wonderful to see students in front of the maps pointing out different parts of the maps and using them for reference; much better than the small maps in the textbook!

These large wall maps have made my instruction time more meaningful. I am able to show rather than tell the students about the countries we study in conjunction to our art.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bahari

Just as students have different ways of learning in the traditional classroom, be it visual, auditorial, kinesthetic, or verbal; students in the art room have different strengths as well. It is my belief that exposure to a wide variety of art mediums is essential to tapping into the creativity of each and every one of my students. With the child's needs in mind, I believe gaining supplies for the students to work with 3D mediums is essential to their growth as artists and individuals. I am requesting modeling clay in a variety of colors as well as some commonly used clay tools. Modeling clay is very easy for the students to work with, you can achieve great detail, and it does well with not drying out before the project is finished.Sometimes we just need to build and shape with our hands to unlock our creative potential.
