These iPads will be used enthusiastically by many children everyday in our science lab. They will allow children to independently or in small groups research ideas and questions my students develop throughout science class. The IPads will allow my students in grades 2-5 to use the simulations and apps our new science curriculum has. My Kindergarten students would be able to record and take pictures of their experiments. My 1st grade students will be able to view sky cams around the world to understand why people see different things in the sky at the same time. My 4th graders would be able to research, take pictures and videos of their experiments. Most importantly, it would give my students with language and educational disabilities the freedom to work at their own pace. The iPads will let my students explore beyond a textbook.
