  • Write Away!

    Funded Oct 28, 2022

Thank you so much for your contribution to our Write-Away Project. Due to your generous donation, my students are equipped with the supplies they need to be successful and productive each day.

Unfortunately, they used to come in unprepared with the supplies they need. Now, with our large amount of pencils, dry erase markers, and colored pencils they are prepared and ready for their day of learning!

Your generosity is greatly appreciated by myself and the students in my classroom. Thank you for making a difference!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Rebenstock

  • We Are Writing Wizards!

    Funded Dec 14, 2018

Do you know that feeling of excitement when a present arrives in the mail unexpectedly? How about the thrill of unwrapping a gift, anticipating what might be behind the fancy wrapping paper? Well, this is the feeling my students had when our Donors Choose Shipment arrived! They were beyond excited to look within the boxes to see what people so generously contributed to our class.

At this time of the year, supplies are getting old and dwindling. Receiving your donation of fresh new dry erase markers and erasers, , motivational pencil, pencil grips and new electronic sharpener is just what we needed to excite and re-energize the writers within my class.

Thank you so much on behalf of myself and my students for the very generous donation to my class. We appreciate your generosity, thoughtfulness and support.”

    With gratitude,

  • Motivational Magazines!

    Funded Sep 11, 2018

My students were beyond excited to receive their first shipment of Scholastic News Magazines. They wanted to open it immediately!!!! They were drawn to their colorful illustrations, interesting articles and more importantly their readability. Most literature is intimidating to my students, but these magazines make them want to dive right in!!! Each lesson geared toward our new magazines ensures that the students will be engaged in high level thinking and interesting text-based conversations. It's amazing to witness the excitement and motivation surrounded by these magazines.

I can't thank you enough for providing us for these wonderful resources that will help to support my teaching , while creating a love of reading. I know that my students will become more confident and proficient readers because of your generous donation to them!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Rebenstock

I work with many motivated and hard working students in 2nd through 8th grade who struggle with reading grade-level materials. They have not reached their academic potential in their general education setting and come to me for academic intervention. One of our primary goals is to improve the students' reading levels while exposing them to social, political, and health related issues. Most of my students lack awareness about the world around them due to limited exposure and resources. The Scholastic Magazines presents high interest articles that appeal to students in the elementary grades. The articles are written by students for students. Scholastic Magazines would appeal to my students' interests, raise their level of awareness, and strengthen their reading abilities. Scholastic News boasts, "Scholastic Magazines spark curiosity, conversation, and deeper learning. Scholastic Magazines meet students at their level with stories on their level, building knowledge and skills with exciting content."
