  • Great Chefs Get Cooking!

    Funded Mar 28, 2025

Thank you so much for supporting my classes. We are already using the 5 quart pots. We are made loaded potato soup last week and we are making homemade chicken noodle soup. The pots are so needed. We now have the same size pots for each class and we can all work exactly the same when we are cooking. It is easier for the students to see each other's work, when we are all using the same pots and pans.

Thank you for supporting my culinary classes, it makes such a difference. The students are learning so much when we cook, they are actually making many of the recipes at home with their families.

Thank you again for supporting education!

  • Great Chefs Need Great Food Carts!

    Funded Mar 27, 2025

Oh my goodness, thank you! We just got all the food carts and my students assembled them. Thank you for supporting us! We will use them for each of the kitchen stations for storing all our ingredients and equipment for our kitchen labs. They will help us to organize what we need and keep the food and tools portable and ready to use. The carts will save us time and keep things more readily at hand. Our current carts are very old and broken down. Now we will have enough carts for each station to have their own. These projects allow us to get the equipment that we need to run our class more effectively. The students learn how to prep what they need. We have already started using this carts as soon as they came in and we assembled them.

Thank you again for supporting my students and myself. You are making such a difference!”

  • Great Chefs Make Great Portions!

    Funded Mar 24, 2025

Thank you so much for supporting my culinary classes. I teach my students portion control and how important it is to be consistent in what we make in class. the portion scoopers and ladles have the students to be able to see exactly how much 2, 4 or 8 ounces are in different foods. We cook for special events such as veterans day, military student appreciation breakfast, teacher appreciation week, upcoming 9th graders and many, many more events that include our students, teachers and community.

We make a variety of soups such as potato and chicken noodle. Often we make these for our staff and being able to portion the same amount of soup for everyone quickly it vital for the students to learn consistency. We make wassil, hot cocoa and other fun punches for special event, the ladles can be used for some many of our recipes.

The scoopers are used for soft batters such as cookie doughs and cake and muffin batters. Thank you for supporting my students and myself. It makes such a difference!”

  • Great Chefs Cook In Great Chef Jackets!

    Funded Mar 24, 2025

Thank you so much for supporting my culinary program! I was so excited to be able to have this project funded. I am trying to build the program at my school and we really needed all the help we could get. Next year, we are going to be going into competitions and the students are ready to really elevate their cooking game. We will be wearing chef jackets and in order to keep the cost of the class down, I am trying to get most of the chef jackets this year, that I don't have to ask the students to pay for them. With 75 students, this is no small task. But we are almost half way there now. Thank you for supporting us, it is making such a difference.

The students love what they do and now they will look like a chef, hopefully they will also act like a chef. Having the chef jackets are not just for looks, they are also for safety when we cook. When we start competing next year, the students will be use to working in a chef jacket thanks to your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lenon
