My students will have the chance for the first time to use real mats that are designed specifically with them in mind. Using these mats will help them to work on the skills needed to really be competitive with other squads and, eventually, participate in cheerleading competitions. Some of my students are familiar with these types of mats from gymnastics and dance, and they will be integral in teaching others how to use these mats safely and effectively. This project will make a difference because my students will finally have the chance to develop much needed cheerleading skills to become the best squad they can possibly be.

About my class
