• Face Masks Required in NYC

  As a teacher, it is a relief to know that I have all the supplies for students especially when they need t protect themselves from corona (and other) virus as they go about their day. At the start of the pandemic shutdown I was able to provide my students with masks to keep them and their family members safe. In addition through your generous compassion and shipment of donations we were able to have enough for the future and created a classroom care closet (drawers) for the unexpected days when they may need more than one or have to take some home.

  Thank you for supporting our student-led classroom Virtual Enterprise. Through your heart-filled, generous donations we were able to obtain a wide range of resources necessary to turn our classroom into a an office setting that mimics real world practices in New York City and gain an edge on our competition within our simulated global network of Virtual Enterprise student-led companies.

  With more office resources and moveable stations comes more organization with strengthening knowledge, implementation of strategies, real-world connections, and multiple entry points that differentiate content, process, and products based upon the specific career readiness competencies they need to master to succeed as they progress from high school to post-secondary.”

  One particular story they liked from John Updike's Early Short Stories was A & P which tells a coming of age story of teenager in the world of work which served as a great lesson since our class is business enterprise.

  As a New York City public school, we had adjust quickly to remote learning as a result of COVID 19 and still adjusting as we enter a possible second wave. Most of my students are economically disadvantaged.

  Your generous donation has allowed me to purchase a wide range of access to curriculums, worksheet materials, audio-visual manipulatives, enrichment, alternative and modified assignments, virtual field trips, etc.., both on and offline with distance learning resources as well as serving those with special needs.

  For 2 years, my young entrepreneurship students have been trying to find a way to add t-shirt graphic designing to their virtual. My students are thrilled at the aspect of designing, marketing, and branding their company name through out their virtual (and non-virtual) worlds.
