Based in Central West Virginia, my students have little to no access to an instrument outside of school. My classroom may very well be the only outlet these students get to play a musical instrument.
My students need 10 Classroom Ukulele Packs to enhance middle school general music.
With these materials, all students in my class will have their very own instrument! Coming from a low-income area, most of my students are not able to afford for their own instrument outside of school. These Classroom Ukuleles Starter Packs will change the foundations of the music program at my school. I believe that with these instruments, students will be excited to participate in music!
The ukuleles will provide students with opportunities to easily learn chords to their favorite songs, play as a class, and work on their fine motor skills. Students will also be able to accompany the Quaver Music Program that my classroom has access to. Quaver has a whole unit devoted to ukulele, and my students are excited to finally get the chance to play an instrument with this program!
This would truly be an eye opening experience for my students. In a school with a very small music program, I hope to make this effort the first step in my students musical journey.
