Full Belly and Smelling Good
Funded Feb 22, 2023My students often start their days hungry with a lack of sleep. This project has helped me ensure that my students always have a snack in the room when they need it. This allows them to stay focused and on task with a full belly. They were very excited to see the array of snacks in the snack drawer with the opportunity to choose as they wanted.
Often my students have issues with their hygiene and during the warmer months it becomes an issue. They kept the deodorants, hand sanitizer and lotions in their desks and using it gave them a sense of purpose.”

Back to School Supplies
Funded Dec 7, 2020These supplies have helped my students begin the school year off right with everything they needed to feel successful. Thank you for allowing my students to come to school with confidence and excitement.
Students were excited to start their day with their new school supplies and when they needed something is was readily available to them. Every year I try to provide as much as I can for my students since they do not have as much as others do. They often lack the self-esteem to participate, embarrassed or shamed of what other classmates will think. But with supplies and items from donors like you, it ensures they have what they need to be successful.”

Funded Sep 29, 2022Back to school is a very stressful time for many parents and students. It is a big financial burden to purchase all the supplies needed to have a successful year. Thanks to the donors, that burden was lifted not only from the parents but from myself as the teacher. Each year I spend hundreds of dollars to make sure my students have everything they need and it's ok. But I was lucky enough to have the help of the donors this year.
These supplies allowed me to fill each child's desk with brand new supplies that they can call their own.”

Funded Sep 29, 2022This year has started off great thanks to you. My students started this year apprehensive, knowing it was going to be hard to catch up as non-readers in a testing grade. Thankfully I was able to build their reading self esteem with the books in the listening center. They have used these books to follow along with the reading and are now catching up to their classmates little by little. But more importantly they are becoming READERS.
As they work on their reading skills they are also using the tools to build their math skills. Multiplication and division seemed like the hardest thing in the world 2 months ago. Now they are becoming mathematicians. These donations have truly made some happy 3rd graders.”

Funded Jan 17, 2022I want to take this time to thank you for the amazing donation of the listening center for my students. It has made reading time more enjoyable for those that it was usually hard for. They are recognizing sight words and are being exposed to books they would otherwise never be able to read. Students now look forward to our reading block in the classroom and choosing which book to listen to that day. Ome stusents listen to tje books numerous times ans arw beginning to try to reas them independently.
Thank you so much.”

Building a Love for Reading in 2nd Grade
Funded Jan 1, 2018On behalf of our 2nd grade classroom we want to say thank you for these amazing books we received. We are fortunate enough to have a group of amazing readers in our classroom of all different levels and prior to your amazing donation it was difficult to encourage reading with a limited supply of books. However, students are now amazed by the what they are learning. It is incredible to hear them share with one another what they are reading and giving each other book recommendations.
We love to read choice books first thing in the morning while we unpack and get ready to start our day. With all these new books, students look forward to this time. They are engaged and it is hard for them to put those books down to start the day. As a teacher of 2nd grade students it fills my heart to watch them read with such joy. This is something that students within this community do not get to do often. We read throughout the day and with all these new books we have so many genres and levels to choose from.
Thank you for all your help and support. We are all so grateful to have the love for reading shine so bright in our classroom.”
