Let's get organized for Math, Science, & Social Studies!
Funded Sep 3, 2023The new trays to help us organize our shared desks have been a great addition to our classroom! The morning class uses the blue trays and the afternoon class uses the green trays. It has made organization so easy.
Each tray fits 3 composition notebooks, a "Work Safe" folder, and a pencil pouch. They easily slide in and out of their desks. Students can locate their supplies quickly and quietly. My students are learning how important it is to keep their belongings in order.
On behalf of my third graders, thank you so much for providing our class with these trays. I am so grateful for your help.”

Funded Jun 27, 2023My students were so excited to learn that they had their very own pair of headphones to use at school!
The day we started using them, I noticed a shift in our classroom. Students seemed more serious about their online and digital assignments. They are able to concentrate and complete their online assignments without disturbing their classmates.
My English Language Learners are also benefitting from read alouds online, too! They are most excited to listen to digital books.
With your help, my students are now more focused and more determined to complete their assignments with the use of their new headphones.”

Funded Oct 23, 2022When my students learned about all the recess equipment I got funded for them, they were so excited to finally play with toys instead of pinecones and ants. They spend so much time behind their devices at school, I wanted to make our brain breaks a special time for them.
Our new recess toys have provided us opportunities to learn fun cooperative games like kickball and catch. We also get to relax and enjoy some fresh air with a quiet game of checkers or tic-tac-toe on a large canvas blanket. We get to stretch our legs and practice our endurance with a friendly jumprope contest.
In the mornings and on rainy days, my 3rd graders look forward to exploring our Science, Technology, Engineering and Math kits. They get to choose between "Guess Who", "Uno", & "Connect Four". They also get to build with connectors, straws, gears, or a DC model motor car kit. My students are so much more creative & engaged in my lessons after recess due to having these brain breaks.
I'm so grateful for all the wonderful donors who have changed our indoor and outdoor recess around. I am amazed at how happy my classroom has become!”

Funded Aug 11, 2022Many thanks again for your contribution to my project for a color printer. It has made a huge impact in my classroom. It has made printing in my classroom less stressful and more efficient.
My students look forward to reading study guides and graphic organizers made in full color. It's no surprise my students are more engaged in their learning when they receive their notes full of color!
Students are used to black print on white paper which made their learning just okay. Now, they are excited to read nonfiction passages and see photographs in vivid colors.
Some of my students have learning disabilities so notes that are in color are helping them decipher important information. They are able to reference maps, diagrams, and graphs with ease.
This color printer will not only help my homeroom but my future homerooms to come!”

Funded Aug 13, 2021I would like to thank each and every one of you for donating to my project. "Digital Resources for Third Graders" has helped me locate engaging and skill-specific activities that my students absolutely love to complete. This has helped me focus on small-group instruction to help fill learning gaps brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic and virtual learning from the previous school year. My students are excited to show me what they have learned this year which in turn has promoted a positive, safe classroom environment as well as improved peer relations. I am so grateful for the opportunity to bring fresh, new ideas to my classroom and my wonderful third graders.”

Projecting Happy Students
Funded May 15, 2021From the bottom of my heart, I'd like to thank you for contributing to my project. The projection screen and projector were recently installed at the back of my classroom. My students can now follow along with my lessons from any vantage point in the room. This had made it easier for my students to copy notes, which, in turn, has boosted their self-esteem and encouraged more participation. My students love how clear and crisp the new projector displays my lessons. This new form of technology has enabled me to try new educational platforms to fully engage participation and get students excited about the learning. I'm grateful for your support in helping bring more useful technology to my third grade classroom.”

Funded Dec 16, 2020My students were overjoyed to find that there were school supplies waiting for them when we returned to face to face learning.
Their use of their earbuds when doing digital lessons has enabled them to hear read alouds clearly.
Using twistable crayons and mechanical pencils has allowed them the freedom to make their notes color coded and easy to study. They have organized their notes into folders for easy transport to and from school.
My class feels so lucky to have such a caring community come together to provide these school supplies.”
