I teach in a classroom with twenty-six different types of learners. Visual learners need to have a book in their hand of them in order to best learn. Students need to have a book in front of them so that they can see the vocabulary that flows from a well written book. In third grade, we read "Dear, Mr. Hensaw" by Beverly Cleary every year. We have amazing projects that students respond to, that include having students write to their teachers. To make this better, I would love for students to be able to have a book in their hand.
