Many of our students have engaged in composing in their Beginning Piano course, and in the Diploma Program. Using MIDI technology would help our students simulate the practices of professional composers while allowing them to explore textures and compositional practices previously uncharted! I'm requesting two Keystation 49 II digital pianos for composing and recording their own creative soundscapes. The arts power young people to change to the world. By giving students this outlet, we can nurture their uniqueness and their desire to express themselves through music. Students will be able to attain instant results in their compositions with the use of MIDI technology. Composing in GarageBand alone will help open our students' eyes to their true potential.
