My 2nd and 3rd grade students use the rug several times throughout the day. I provide whole group, small group, and one on one instruction on the rug. The students often work with Montesorri manipulatives, white boards, and books. The students need a comfortable space that will allow them room to be organized with their math and reading materials. But, because our rug is old and well-worn, the students often complain about not having enough room. By donating to our project, it will improve the students' attitudes about learning and allow opportunities for more than 1 group to work together at a time. This will improve our classroom environment and students will be eager to learn!
